Lane Kiffin Gets A Mick Haley 10-Year Contract

Did you hear Florida Atlantic has given Lane Kiffin a contract that runs through 2027? Mick Haley must be jealous. Of course, it’s a win-win for both sides: Kiffin will either get fired or move on before 2027 anyways.

  1. He’s crushing the Akron Zips right now FAU 27 – Akron 3 and about to score again 3rd qtr.

      • I doubt he stays at FAU past 2018 especially if he replicates what he has this year – in 2018 FAU plays:
@ OK and @ UCF and hosts Air Force.

  2. Urban meyer and his buckeyes told they can no further recruit 5* Micah Parsons due to recruiting violations…Hahahahaha

  3. I doubt if Lane Kiffin would ever get fired from FAU, because he can get just about anybody enrolled at that school. He’s a decent coach, but can’t handle the extra things that come with coaching at a major university

    • No he’s too good a coach. Kiffin’s problem is he can’t let go of social media and his need to needle as Jason Whitlock of the KC Star noted – it is why no major program is moving to hire him yet but someone shall in time.

      • You take Jason Whitlocks opinions as something meaningful? Dude is a walking blob who someone put a fedora on, I don’t think he’s noticed it either

        • Look mate merely because a columnist is someone you rarely agree with doesn’t mean there’s nothing of truth that emits from them ok?

          • His reasoning is way off. Kiffin’s social media trolling is what keeps everyone focused on him and not the players. I had a hs coach who did the same thing on game day, and it motivates young players, making them feel no pressure and just ball out. The only reason no one big is hiring him yet is because his marginal success in the past. They wanna see what he can string together.

          • Maybe but he’d be better served by wondering, as we all should if indeed, perception is not reality.

          • Gollly Noiiid the Night Stalker talking about reasoning being off- you can’t write comedy like this!

        • You think we take your opinion as something meaningful, Gollllly Noiiid? Stick to The Last Jedi reviews.

          • Who is we? Go back to your hole old man, and wait for your “golly” lover to finally show up, I know it’s breaking your heart and making you desperate. Until then, sorry, can’t be your replacement.

          • Golly Noiiiidd always go full hommmo whenhe gets his widdle fweelings hurt. Poor Gollly Noiiid!

        • Yet Golllly Noooid thinks his opinion is meaningful? Spicoli Dude speak gives you away once again you dolt.

  4. Think about this for a New Year’s Resolution: be less petty and more magnanimous in 2018.

  5. Sorry, Flow. If tonight is any indication, it will be The Kiff leaving for another program. He’s piling it on with a 2-point conversion while way up too, as only Kiffy would. Oh, and the Flow/Kiffy obsession continues.

  6. They shoulda had them play FSU or some team who underachieved but clearly has the edge in talent instead. But hey, congrats to him. Turning a team around from 3-9 to 11-3 is impressive, no matter where

  7. If he leaves for a better gig, there is no money lost by FAU. Recruits have the appearance Kiffin has job security. Win – win for FAU, Kiffin is gone in 2 years tops to a power 5 conference program.

  8. Wow. Earth-shattering insight that The Kiffer will move on before 2027.

Congrats to The Kiffer. Hell of a job. He just wiped Terry Bowden off the face of the earth. The Kiffer’s a wild interview in the studio. Dude isn’t afraid to poke the bear, in jest. He’ll have himself an FAU juggernaut before he bolts for whatever price he wants. He’s probably already doubled FAU’s enrollment applications in one season.

    • Actually admissions from out of state are up I think 25% and the FAU Prez credited Kiffen.

  9. An honest person would have to admire his tenacity and ability to ignore detractors. He lifted a program out of the cellar, along with many disparaged athletes, turned them into a machine, conference champions, and Bowl winner and best season in school history 11-3…and they did it with panache/style and certainty.Next yr they start with OKlahoma…

    • He was an understudy to Pete Carroll and Nick Saban. He is a celebrity coach as he can attract celebrity to his games and practices.

    • An honest person would be disgusted at such a nepotism creation continually failing upward.

      • as I said , honest and can recognize objectively an accomplishment …instead of a convoluted appraisal

          • Why was a talentless goofball like Kiffin ever hired in the first place by Pet Carroll? Because Pete owed Monte.

          • why is a clueless individual like you making comments no one ever with any knowledge of football would agree with? every one even in early Pete C…days stated he was an offense /receivers coach of extra ability…everyone…if you thought that why did others hire him….I guess we will have to just disagree, but thanks for your insight, it was real valuable.

          • Who is theis “everyone” you quote? Everyone I thalked to said Kiffin was nothing more that Monte Kiffin’s gravytraining son who was Pete’s basketball buddy and backstabber of a person with real ability, Norm Chow. If Kiffin had such ability, why was Reggie Bush on the sideline on the 4th and 2 play in the NC Rose Bowl game in 2006? You are another brainless pathetic rah rah.

          • I guess you were not reading sports writers or listening to them on tv or watching games back then,it is ok …I really do not care what you think…Al Davis had dementia, and so do you…bye

          • Amazing you would diss a USC assistant coach like Al who worked alongside John McKay… but then again maybe not so amazing since you are a brainless rah rah. And you have no defense for your beloved Lame Kiffin on 4th and 2, arguably the greatest coaching gaffe in USC history..

          • yes I saw him at those games I attended, a great coaching staff;has nothing to do with his problems later, everyone but you apparently knew about them and discounted his opinions and actions…Kiffin was a bad hire as a Pro coach , no one thought Davis was doing the correct thing.

          • I noticed you feel that way…obviously some do not …who have hired him,and I hope he succeeds at FAU and helps develop good players…thanks again…carry on

          • Maybe, just maybe, after all the opportunities he has been afforded due to his connections he has actually learned something….
