Despite the best efforts of his attorneys to give the impression he would be cleared any day, Melton’s prospects are even worse now USC announced it was investigating “new information” that would make Melton “ineligible.”
Last week, a source told me to expect some new information from the FBI. That has not happened publicly, but maybe this is what happened with Melton.
What a predicament for Melton; he can’t play and transferring would not remedy the situation.

Is it the school fearing forfeiting games he plays in? They are dealing with the FBI here, not the ncaa. I think USC is doing the right thing and does not need another Bush fiasco. That is not throwing him under the bus if the FBI has concrete evidence showing he got undue rewards.

What is coming out of the Melton “camp” Wolf? If Melton does not play this season he loses no eligibility and we all know he would only play a couple of seasons anyway.
