De’Anthony Melton Update

Does anyone think USC guard De’Anthony Melton will play again for the Trojans? Despite the best efforts of his attorneys to give the impression he would be cleared any day, Melton’s prospects are even worse now USC announced it was investigating “new information” that would make Melton “ineligible.”

Last week, a source told me to expect some new information from the FBI. That has not happened publicly, but maybe this is what happened with Melton.

  1. What a predicament for Melton; he can’t play and transferring would not remedy the situation.

  2. Scooter, use your sources to find out what the new allegations are. Ooppps, I forgot, you don’t have any sources, you just read TMZ and report what they have to say.

    • The 5 guys had their restroom closed to the public today, Wolfie will have to wait until tomorrow to check his “sources”

  3. NOTHING sc does ,except shaft athletes should surprise anyone…unlike most universities they throw them under the bus immediately
…guilty until they prove themselves innocent

    • Is it the school fearing forfeiting games he plays in? They are dealing with the FBI here, not the ncaa. I think USC is doing the right thing and does not need another Bush fiasco. That is not throwing him under the bus if the FBI has concrete evidence showing he got undue rewards.

      • fbi is in low credibility world…but even they dropped it, the tape reported by LA times shows zero money passed and no evidence of favors…zero, nothing…

  4. What is coming out of the Melton “camp” Wolf? If Melton does not play this season he loses no eligibility and we all know he would only play a couple of seasons anyway.

  5. If this is over him getting a steak dinner from bland or something that small then we’ll never dodge the NCAA, but if he did something foolishlike take a flat screen then he/maybe we are f*cked.
