Tough Schedule

Mater Dei QB JT Daniels supposedly has to take 11 classes next semester so he can enroll at USC. Is this a good idea?

  1. Yes. He already got God’s next assignment. The way he reads opposing defenses he probably has a photographic mind.

  2. That’s a heavy load by any extension – used to be, in high school, you could take ‘6’ some 50 years ago – what is it now 5 at most or more like 4 then + Summer – what? 3 there

That still puts him 2 – 3 short and that’s assuming he earns the grades necessary to gain admission even as an athlete.

If this is true someone better pull back a bit.

    • Im sure WW heard the interview that R.A did specifically on this subject with J.T. If WW was to even included part of this young man’s dialog, one would see what a good idea JT believes it is.How he is up and prepared for challenge.

        • Wait no longer……I;ve refer to Wolf as Whining Wolfie. RA Ryan Abraham.
“secret code” only because using those names in the past, had posts deleted….

          • Ok I as all do – know the former …. that led me to google the latter – this is ‘Ryan Abraham’ is, I see,of uscfootball dot com.

Sooo you heard/saw a discussion of this topic and it seemed reasonable right?

Peter in the future do provide a bit of ‘clarity’ to we the obviously ‘unconnected’.

  3. it is a private school, and they must have figured it, and to incl summer and whatever he needs or he would not have said it , correct”

  4. So with a 4.0 gpa and a full ride scholarship to USC, if he just pulls a C in some of the classes he is in like flynn. A guy with his smarts can do a C in those required classes without opening a book. Not to mention a little tutoring if he needs it. Any he can do online?

    • If he was going to an SEC school, he’d be admitted already, except for Vanderbilt

  5. He should just wait until 2019 when Gomer and his clown staff will be gone and he will be properly coached

  6. Southern cal only requires an 800 SAT score and 2.0 gpa for athletes so he should barely get in…if not, the cheaters at southern cal will “massage the numbers” to make it fit! According to source, they are getting undercover bag man ready to “talk” to the teachers at Mater Dei High School.

      • Notice Ted has picked up on Scott’s favorite preface —“according to [a?] source”…….

    • Ted, you don’t know much about college admissions. If you did, you wouldn’t be posting here. A book was written about alleged illegal ucla admissions policies. In fact, the title is, interestingly enough, “Cheating”.

    • Teddy, ugly doesn’t even require that, all they ask is that you can run and play. Ask billy joe Jackson who could not read or write but was allowed in ugly. He played football

  7. Saban already complaining about the turnaround time to the championship game. How would he like to be Georgia having to travel from the West Coast?

  8. Just saw a clip online where TMZ was following Leinart and he said he didn’t think the Browns was a good idea. Said he’d be talking to Sam. Sounds like we know where Leinart stands if Sam does in fact reach out to those who have been in a similar situation.

    • Jack —get him on the phone and tell him we’ll do all the homework for him (and take the tests too —as long as they don’t require fingerprint proof it’s him).

    • A hand full of these classes are online courses that can be done at night or weekends. Think back to your senior year the course works was not very difficult.

    • Hard work and chasing his dream? Your darn right it’s a good thing. God Bless that boy and God Bless America!

  9. It all depends on his ability to shoulder responsibly. Eleven classes is equal to 55 credits. That is a lot of work over the next 5 months but it be done.
All I gave seen and heard he can do it.

  10. Isn’t this kid something like 19 years old? I don’t think he can stay another year in high school.

  11. Is it a good idea to try and work your butt off so you can get a leg up at your dream school to play football?

  12. It is a good idea as long as he can handle and get good greats. If it were wolf taking 11 classes it would be a horrible idea.

  13. Of course, Mr. Negative fails to mention that Daniels is an excellent student and carries a 4.0 GPA. And has this semester and the summer to qualify..Hilarious.

  14. Is this a good idea? Not for Mater Dei, and not for Daniels – the student. However, everyone has a price. And this is where USC excels. USC is good at finding the right price for anything. And USC is only concerned about USC, and what any star player can do for USC.

It’s all about – and only about – USC. There’s nothing that will stop USC from trying to do what’s best for USC.
