Rasheem Green Goes Pro

The defensive lineman announced that he will go pro. Big loss for the defense. This will hurt because Green was a hybrid. He could play defensive tackle but had the athleticism of a defensive end. The defense will return Cameron Smith and Iman Marshall but opposing teams will be more relieved to hear Green going pro.

  1. Next man standing…Oh never mind, Clay Helton’s too busy signing quarterbacks, and receivers

      • Wished we’d have seen play this season healthy, dude was hell on wheels with just one shoulder.

    • He’s too busy allowing Defensive Coordinators to call shots and stay home when they should be banging on doors of players that might feel disrespected from him not recruiting them and are worthy of a spot at USC.

      • My friend, the only area of recruiting we have fallen short this year seems to be OL. The Defensive seems to be excellent past 2 years. Its worked. This years class will be loaded on D.

    • I get your point Fred and I don’t know if you know it or not, but there isn’t anyone but Sewell out there. Do we waste scholies on guys that are marginal and available?

      • Problem is, USC targeted the wrong guys early. That was the killer. There were plenty of OLs who could have really helped the Trojans, but USC went after some of the wrong guys and didn’t pay attention to the tea leaves. Now, we need a Hail Mary.

      • Develop the lower rated players, Michigan State does it year after year, because the coaches have an eye for talent

    • Fred, your smarter than that. This years class, along with last is loaded on D. Where we suck and this year won’t be better is OL. 1 QB last year, 2 wr. 1QB this year maybe 2 wr.
There certainly is much that can be laid on Helton,QB and WR signings are not problem areas.

      • Signings will never be a problem with USC, but developing players has, so highly decorated high school players don’t mean a thing, until they hit the field

  2. Maybe Falcons will draft him … their O needs help lol
Falcon fans wanna kill Sark , that born loser just needs to go away
Just getting drilled on their boards
    and deservingly so
    Guy is just a moron

      • Sark called a good game. Julio Jones lost the game for ATL. I couldn’t care less about Sark and am just glad he’s not with USC. But Jones missed a late game winner that will haunt him for awhile, I’m sure.

          • Some people here hate Sark and Kiffin (as well as Haden) with such a passion, that they live for anything to blame them for. There’s some deep, deep hurt there. It’s kind of funny actually.

          • Well I’ve heard it’s the OL fault, Heltons fault, now I guess it’s Tees fault. In a sport w 11 guys on each side of the ball it’s rarely ever 1 entities fault. Our TO killed us in the game. Blame whomever you want for those, but they were killer

    • Did Sark and Kiffin kill somebody in your family? They must have really hurt you for you to be so obsessed with them both. If they only cared about how much they have affected your life.

        • Get over it. What a crock. USC won an amazing Rose Bowl and finished #3 in the country the year after Sark was fired. Some kill job.

I still say he must have burned your house down, you’re so obsessed with the dude. Sark basically owns you. So does Kiffin. They both live rent free in your head 24/7.

  3. Man, Green and Nwosu combined for 20 sacks last year, won’t be easy to replace them. Time for Gustin and Rector to step up!

    • Gusting looked good early then went down for the count. Rector had moments too. But yeah you are right because we’ll be leaning on them and expecting big production.

    • Our D will be fine, maybe superior. It’s our horrible OL that always caves against good comp that kills the Trojans.

  4. If anyone’s stock went up it was Green. I don’t know the facts of his draft status but he had a really good year. I was hoping he’d stay but this was something we shouldn’t be surprised or shocked from. Good luck to Rasheem, he was a Bruin born kid and we were fortunate to have him for three seasons and he made me proud to have him in Cardinal and Gold.

    Fight On Rasheem!!!!!!

  5. I still hadn’t confirmed if he was a current Trojan football player or a lineman from the 1976 Pittsburgh Steelers.

  6. NOT DEFENDING SARK…….

But when does Matt Ryan own up to being the overhyped choker?

Last year’s Super Bowl is still an all time choke job for games in the bag.

    • Ryan threw a perfect pass to Julio Jones in the corner which went right through both hands for the game winner. Jones was the choker today, that’s for sure.

      • the second incomplete fade with his feet OB … ya great call even rolled out to do it lmao welcome to jr high
Almost like the 2nd down shovel pass lmao
You got to hand it to that life time loser Sarky … he continues to out stupid himself wherever he goes

        • He didn’t have to be. He also fell down on his cut. The point is, it was a great throw which could have been a part of NFL PO lore. But Julio dropped the ball today, regardless of his greatness.

    • Sark ruins every qb
      Leinart hated his senior year
      Booty sucked
Sanchez could had been unreal in 2008 , Pete’s most talented team
      Locker went to crap
      Kessler sucked
      Snark is a qb killer

  7. Clay…hey Clay! Now what? Look time to ‘play the man’ yeah it’s ‘show time’ Clay. No more Sam now it’s all on you. First thing Clay you better get up and retain the squad you have as well as lock down those recruits you’re truly good at snagging. This is going to go fast…a mere 34 weeks from today you’ll face Stanford and, alas, a mere 7 days hence TX @ TX.

“To arms! Vanquish the knaves! All power to the soviets!”

    • These standings look pretty good to me —-meaning USC’s schedule looks anything but easy in 2018. We could conceivably be breaking in a new signal caller along with a new QB as we play highly rated Stanford and Texas in early away games.
By the way, Alv —did you notice (or care) that USC made the top 10 in the final Coaches’ Poll?

      • I don’t know ….. look it wouldn’t be that tough if we showed any real effort against both the Irish and OH St…..we didn’t and it is highly unlikely we ever shall under Clay Helton. The guy is clueless and tough luck for him if he can’t win next September. He’s had this gig for over 2 years now at $3 million a year – screw Helton if he can’t assemble a tough assistant coaching staff let alone prepare, with 4 weeks, for OH St.. ‘blank’ Helton – win or get out Clay….you’ll get no sympathy from any follower of this storied program let alone from your peers. Why should you? Learning to be a ‘head coach’ because you never have been one before lazy corrupt Pat Haden gave it to you.

  8. TENN looks like the worst team tonight to ever make the NFL POs. Crazy bad. Both the Rams and the Chargers are far superior to these guys. So much for the idea that a playoff always brings together the best teams.

  9. Although a loss – I’m not as concerned with this one. With Marlon / Jay / Brandon / Jimmons / Rector as a core with the other pieces I think the D line will actually be one spot that is better next yr.

  10. I am surprised Wolf didn’t say wait until Green gets to the Nfl so he can be coached up.
