USC Quick Thought

Someone asked me on twitter if I had any positive news on USC football? My response: Undefeated since Dec. 30, 2017!

  1. So that answers all our questions. Wolf has nothing positive about USC. What a great life and outlook Wolf has. Bad, worse, miserable.

  2. It’s no different than the millions who keep ripping LeVar Ball (with reason) but still listen and read his every word. Me I like Scott regardless – he puts up topics every day and it allows a new set of replies instead of wading through some 200+ that would be with fewer topics to be enraged about.

      • It’s not easy to be positive about the team after that filthy loss in the CB only two weeks ago unless you’re high on something.

        • Don’t have to be high, don’t have to be positive, just a realist. The best juniors on almost every team leave early..there’s enough else to complain about without making things out worse than they are. That’s all.

          • Speaking of realists, it seems to me that SW is more realistic than many on here with regard to the current SC coaching. Quite a few on here are simply out of touch with the reality.

          • Opinions are like faces, everybody’s got one, some more than one..Scott had problems with Pete Carroll too, why was that..common thread is Scott having problems

          • Yeah, but who called Carroll “Caesar”? I don’t think anybody else did. I’d say that was a show of respect. Would he call Helton “Alexander”? I doubt it.

          • That was him being the cynic because Carroll ran the program and only gave interviews to those he thought were positive influences on the program, why do you think Petros has a problem with him?

          • Okay folks, lets get real. Wolf is provocative with his comments. He wants people to have an emotional response and post back on here. It is how they sell advertising. We all know he doesn’t hate USC, it is just his schtick he does. I know I go along with it and argue back. Occasionally I agree. But we don’t need to argue over Scott Wolf, except for Ted, Owns, Killer, and the illiterate one we are all smarter than Wolf, and we all know it.

          • I’ve never had a problem with Mr Wolf’s blog or journalistic style.

I prefer Wolf’s truthful or opinionated threads to Ms. Nguyen’s polite UCLA coverage.

          • Petros? lol. You a fan of his? He ought to be absolutely beside himself to know he’s got at least one fan in all of LA!

          • Not a fan. Occasionally listen if I’m traveling. He can’t stand Pete either. It’s too funny..you’d think Pete stole Petros’ piggy bank when he was a baby. Obsessed with him.

          • There isn’t much middle ground for him. I guess an apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. His old man wasn’t exactly known for his modesty, either.

          • The ‘pud’ (seems that was a derogatory term towards the male productive organ n’est pas?) has a new friend.

          • I like Petros – he’s got a quick wit and a pretty encyclopedic mind but I understand how he grates on others. Best 3 hours everyday on afternoon sports radio anywhere. Now as to that back end of a horse father of his….

          • He was right about Pete’s basketball buddies Kiffin and Sark who destroyed the Carroll Dynasty. The rah rahs can never forgive him for that.

          • He was doing it before the ouster of Chow. And Chow had as much to do with it as the other two did, you’re not supposed to show up your boss at work, and he did against Texas.

          • Texas? You mean Oklahoma? Chow was replaced by Pete’s basketball buddies after the Orange Bowl rout of OK.

          • What exactly did Chow do or say after the OK win? I was so happy with the complete domination of USC over college football that night that I didn’t notice the drama going on behind the scenes..

        • I yield to your authority on the subject…wolf will never be accused of being objective.

          • In the Era of Fake News no one is objective.
The Clinton News Network and PMSNBC tried to blame President Trump for the One Party Democrat State of Hawaii accidentally setting off a missile alarm today….You take a little SW and a little Garry P and mix it together and get a balanced look at SC football.

          • That whole missile thing was crazy, those poor women and kids trying to figure out how to kiss your asz goodbye…and the first indictments came down on the uranium case..Hehe..and wolf sucks

          • I would imagine a whole lot of people came face to face with their mortality. Kind of an awakening in a lot of ways.

          • I remember back during the Carter administration the siren warning went off in West Los Angeles. It made you think. But we didn’t blame President Jimmy Carter for it!

          • Their old fall back, the basketball program, is going nowhere. They have nothing now but being Social Justice Warriors and following Hillary like lemmings off the cliff.

          • Funny, because the first thing they do if they don’t like a post on their site is start hurling homophobic slurs at people, then act stupid when it’s pointed out…on second thought, maybe stupid isn’t an act.

          • Once again the Trumpturd 22 has failed to pull his head out of Fox F**K News’ rectum.

The Democratic Gov. of Hawaii has stated officially the erroneous “In coming alert” was an accident committed by a State employee who pushed the wrong button.

          • I am shocked that Owns’ Clinton News Network’s Keith Boykin and Owns PMSNBC’s Joy Reid and Owns’ lib pals like Jaimie Lee Libby and Jim Carrylib and Dumbocrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard would try to blame the President of the United States for the bunglings of the Dumbocrat One Party State of Hawaii.

Hey Owns, are you standing with the Dreamer MS-13 gang members with the rest of the ruin libs?

  3. If Clay Helton really wanted to build the USC football program, he would have tried to keep McCallough as the RB coach by offering him more money and giving him a title since he was one of the better position coaches on a questionable staff. I fear Helton will now go knocking on WKU’s door again for some lacky or even find another graduate assistant somewhere and expect Carr to prosper by it.

  4. Fact check: USC Football lost in the area of returning players and coaching interviews. USC won in recruiting quarterback and receiver.

  5. Has Gomer contacted Eric Bienemy? Mark Carrier ?

He probably has no idea who they ate, didn’t play for his daddy, buddies or coach at W. Kentucky

    • Who did they ate? Bienimy is still on staff with the chiefs, they moved him up, according to McCullough.

  6. Green just declared. There goes our dominant D Line for 2018. Ugh… That’s one guy we really needed for one more year.

    • The NFL wants him. Not sure why all you guys thought he was gonna stay anyway. Never made sense to me. Most of the good ones ALWAYS go.

  7. It’s not over by a long shot yet. We did bring in a great OC prospect and could end up signing OT Penei Sewell, from Utah. I have no idea if we’ll get him, but it doesn’t look good per 247.

Bottom line – party is not over yet. It’s just not. So it’s too early to pronounce judgment. USC has recruited unreal LBs, WR, RB, QB and looks good at DL/DE. OL could still come true for us and now that Tee has re-signed to extend with SC, that gives USC more stability. He’s a great recruiter.

    • So Jack, Clancy P originally got a two yr contract.. that means it’s up now..what’s next?

      • No clue, except that Swann wants continuity. So, there you go. USC’s D is pretty good too.

However, I say negotiate hard with him and if he wants above market, let him go and substitute with someone who likes to recruit and can really do it. McCullough could recruit, so we’re needy there.

I like Pendergast, but wouldn’t mind if he left either. I’m more worried about our CBs than our defense in general.

        • He’s actually below market at $850000/yr., and that explains the db coach interviewing last week, I hope. Things are still moving along and I am hopeful of some change still coming. Sometimes a different voice or presentation makes a big difference.

          • That’s why Tee undoubtedly got a nice raise! That’s more important than extending him out. He’s looking to leave anyway.

  8. Wolfie, you are a miserable, little , gnome who WILL find something negative to write about the Trojans no matter what they do. I will always support the Trojans as all true fans do, hope they learn from their mistakes and make the changes they need to, and try not to talk s–t about them day in and day out like you. Any positive news about Scott Wolf ? …………. ………………………..crickets. …………
