  1. I believe the word you were looking for was “how” not “have”. You’re welcome Scotty.

    • I heard that the letters to recruits go out Hogwarts style with no help from the coaching staff. All the coaches have to do is wait next to the fax machine for the letters of intent to roll in. That’s how they have so much extra time to practice special teams.

    • I don’t know about that, a lot of the close games the Trojans had this past season, were won on sheer talent alone because the coaching was definitely second rate and not doing the team a damn bit of good.

    • A lot of the geniuses here that claim to be Trojans, that supposedly went to USC, can’t spell worth a crap.

  2. Hire more recruiting staff, USC! Don’t shoot for top 5. With a university as prestigious academically as USC is, and with our location and football tradition, there’s little reason for us ever coming in outside the top 2 or 3 annually. It’s not like we’re cash poor. Let’s go, Nikias! Show some leadership in this area.

    • I think recruiting is all about needs. Sometimes, a program just doesn’t have the numbers to fill to rank in the top 3, no matter who they sign.

And rankings are just wild guesses anyway. Guys like Zach Banner was literally a 5-star/6.1 recruit. We all know he was never even remotely that talented and played more like a 2-star when it came to protecting the edge.

Assuming you respect your staff’s prospect evaluation ability, the best way to critique your school’s efforts is to look at how many targets they signed, who they lost and who was brought in at the end to fill positions that were left wanting. Overall prospect offers is another way to get a handle on things, though that can also be highly misleading and overlooks “sleeper” signees who will turn out better than the high-star guys.

  3. Hey wolf, start focusing on recruiting and quit b*itching about petty coaching issues. Give us some relevant info.

  4. It is creepy here. A long time commenter just notified me that someone (another user) addressed him by his given name, which he does use on this forum. Very few of his friends know his user name and identity. This is the type of cyber stalking you read about before someone SWATS someone . He has deleted his account and I agree with him.

      • Not saying who left or who did the cyber snooping and being honest I only know one other commenter personally. He’s an Old Trojan I am a trojan dude. I walked away and he took it up now he’s away and I’m back . I don’t know Gabby nor do I think my friend does. I created this account/name so my friend and I can comment as we see fit.
Given the mindset of the world neither of us wants some weird Bruins fan stalking us. I don’t answer my phone without knowing the caller. Leave a message of you want me. I don’t open attachments in email without talking to the sender. I’ve only had a couple of viruses in the 30 years or more since my Osborn computer. I don’t like taking chances.

        • Seriously, why the paranoia? I hate to burst the imaginary bubble you’re living in, but nobody cares about you. I have more viruses on my genitals right now, than you’ve had in your computer over the last 30 years, and I don’t care, I’ll take care of it when I get the time. You can’t possibly live with this much fear. Take a minute to make up a real handle instead of Guest69 and answer blocked calls (unless you’re in collections), live a little. There’s really not as much to be afraid of as the news leads you to believe.

          • Well SU you are right nobody cares about me. It’s the money in my bank account that they care about. As cyber criminals have emptied my account twice. Once using a cloned card and once an inside job at the bank. The first time we thought we had messed up and quickly deposited more money, which was gone in an hour. I can tell you stories about bank efficiency, such as “can you prove you were not at LAX and Portland Maine withdrawing cash at the same time?”
Take care of those viruses and hang up on robo-callers

  5. The blogger is setting himself up so he can pat himself on the back with an “I told you so”

  6. Top five things sw needs to fix in order to become a better ”Inside” blogger.

    1. Move out of his mother’s basement
    2. Dump charlie, ted, beefcake, whatever his name is.
3.Get top quality NBA coaching to help him get real inside info.
    4. Ditch Windows Millennium and get a program with auto spell
    check.
    5. Let sw be sw.

  7. We don’t come here for recruiting info, SW. That’s taken care for us in other places. You’re strictly 2nd hand.

We can’t even come here for new asst coach info because you have no inside stuff whatsoever.

You bagged on USC for being way behind for many months. Now that USC looks like it might kill it, as usual, you’re all over anything negative you can find to blot out USC’s incredible drawing power as well as the superior, hard working recruiters USC does have on staff.

Too bad SW. You lost again. And it’s “how many”, not “have many”, by the way.

    • “We don’t come here for recruiting info, SW. That’s taken care for us in other places. You’re strictly 2nd hand.”

Did you think that up all by yourself or did you have help with that too?

      LOL!

  8. No, it matters if they can develop the talent they work with enough to where they don’t look lost on the field and make mistakes.

  9. Athlon sports has Barkley of Penn State going #1 to Cleveland.
    Darnold #2 to N.Y. Giants.
    Rosen #4 also to Cleveland.

    • IMO, Darnold or Rosen will go #1. It’s a QB-driven league. Those are the guys you build around. Both the Browns and the Giants need QBs bad. A great RB is great. But not as good as a great QB.

      • I agree with that. Barkley is gonna make a nice chunk of change as a high pick. And to think that the experts used to say that the days of RBs in the 1st ROUND were done. But yeah, QBs are still in demand and those two are pretty darn good.

      • Actually if you are Clev and have 2 top 4 picks getting the clear top RB or pass rusher makes sense. At #4 they will happily take SD or Rosen. Barkley probably not there at #4

      • Minkah Fitzpatrick is a good Corner and I wouldn’t bet against him playing up to those standards.

    • Rosen would never play for Cleveland because…..

      1) Terrible team owner/mgmt.
      2) Hue Jackson SUCC’s. (1 or 2 – 32) in last two years.
      3) Zero O/Line
      4) Zero Future
      5) Rosen would sit out the year and earn a Master’s.

  10. Josh Allen (Best QB in college football this past season) will be the first QB taken in the upcoming NFL Draft.

    • What the heck did he say? I guess he was trying a new language form from ugly called, forgetting train of thought and applying it to words.

    • A lot of the supposed Trojan alum that comment here in this forum missed it because their grammar and reading comprehension isn’t any better.

      LOL!

      • Ask Billy Joe Jackson about reading and writing. Oh, I forgot, you have never heard of him. He went to ucla to play football back in 1975. He played, however, there was a slight small problem, he could neither read or write. But ugly took him anyways.

        • O.J. Simpson and USC set the precedent with the same scenario.

          What else do you have?

  11. Swann should fire everybody and watch SC become the first team in NCAA history to win 10 games without a coaching staff.
