I will start the discussion that I am fed up with Sam Darnold who leaves on a sour note. He is no Andrew Luck when it comes to a conscience or even Barkley and Leinart who were real Trojans. They all had better years than Darnold before returning to school.

    • GOMER HELTON

Oh boo hoo, go rub some ointment on that hurt butt of yours

    • rusoviet

Are you kidding? Leinart? even more pathetic Barkley? They both had Pete Carroll as their head coach and zilch to minimum sanctions.

Darnold had Clay Helton aka ‘Garth Brooks’ with a baseball cap instead of that black stetson.

Barkley’s signature moment was beating OH St. @ Columbus in Pete Carroll’s last year – he was a bust after that. Matt was much much better but hit the wall in the NFL as has Barkley….Darnold will not and who would be foolish enough to risk injury and drop in draft status beng at a program with Clay Helton as its’ head coach?

    • Chris

I agree with growing tired of Sam. Mostly because of all the folks who thinks he walks on water. The dude had the most turnovers of any player in the country. You cannot even start to compare him to Leinart or Barkley. They were both better Trojans. Barkley hung in through sanctions when he could have easily transferred. Leinart is one yard away from having 3 national championships.

      • gotroy22

Barkley left before the sanctions took their toll. In 2011 SC took 30 recruits. Try Kessler as the one who suffered most.

        • Independent_George

This. He finished the ND game in 2013 with zero scholarship receivers and tight ends, b/c of injuries.

          • gotroy22

Yet the 2010 and 2011 recruiting classes were ranked #1 and #4 in the country. Those should have been the juniors and seniors on the 2013 team.

      • Independent_George

How were they better Trojans. because they stuck around one year tow long, only to see their flaws exposed and the draft stock drop?

        Sam is smart.

    • Independent_George

I will end the discussion with the observation that this is a perfect example of know-nothingism from perhaps the dumbest fan base in college football.

    • Terry Kesner

Steve, the golden rule of football is that you only play it for free as long as you possibly have to…Especially when you’re the first pick in the draft.

  • steveg

Seems he is represented, now all he has to do is fulfill everyones expectations.

  • Sandy Underpants

3 agents? Who advised him to do that? Same imbecile that told him to leave school early I guess.

    • GOMER HELTON

Why stay for no pay to be coached by idiots when you can guarantee your future and be coached up

      • Sandy Underpants

This is like seriously the only exception to the stay in school rule ever. Doh! Thanks again Coach Helton.

    • gotroy22

Hey it’s the ruin imbecile giving more free advice.

      • Sandy Underpants

Hey, gaetroy, I thought I smelled monkey turds and dandruff shampoo. How they hanging?

        • gotroy22

Hey ruin wacko lib, stick to giving Fauxcahontas advice.

  • Guest.user73

There must be a conspiracy here somewhere something of a star chamber. Next thing you know the good old NCAA will looking for a link to the agent through Tee Martin to Darnold.

  • 04Trojan

Flow’s one true love…The Kiff. So sad.

  • Tebow_Obama

Darnold’s draft stock is plummeting, partially because he can’t read defense and because he’s not a team player.

    • USCDAN1986

Darnold 11-3 vs Rosen 6-7.. Who can’t read defenses ?.. Darnold is top 5.. Rosen will go maybe late first or early second

Jughead Rosen will be a HUGE bust too… ✌

      • Pudly76

Wait till the combine interviews, that’s where rosen will really shine..ha

        • j metaphor

If the interviewers are intimidated by speaking to someone twice as smart as they are, it won’t go well for Rosen.
If they want a smart and technically excellent QB, he’ll go first pick.
If not, at this point, just his F Trump hats will allow him to retire early.
Willing to bet he will out play and out shine any SoCal QB since Pat Haden.
By the way, is Pat still allowed on campus without an ankle bracelet?

          • Jack B

What will Honker Rosen say when the NFL interviewers ask him why he always lost to USC, every single time?

          • Tebow_Obama

            “Honker Rosen”? Hmm, racist much?

Yeah, you’ve shown your racism and bigotry in quite a few of your posts.

          • Jack B

Rosen needs a nose job bad. Poor dude. He’s one of the ugliest brain-damaged invalids on the planet.

          • Tebow_Obama

Nice effort, but no everyone knows what you meant, they’ve seen your other bigoted comments before.

          • steveg

You sound like a liberal stretching truth to fit your ideology. Loser.

          • Pudly76

Always funny, mr meth, that while you defend him so ardently, his own school kept him wrapped up..don’t need to convince me, you should’ve started 3 yrs ago, protesting your SID and his crew to how smart he was…troll

          • Bob Pace

Actually, it has been said many times (by NFL people) that they don’t want the most intelligent. The wonderlic test has shown the most intelligent to fail in the league. For example, Alex Smith. I think he and Rosen are very similar. Smith was just way too smart for anyone’s good. The intelligence doesn’t correlate to leadership 100%. Also great leaders know how to take direction/orders.

Personally, I think both have a lot to be concerned with stepping up to the NFL. I’m not convinced that either one will be a star.

          • gotroy22

A Rosen defender! I thought they were extinct after his phantom concussion excuse to get out of the K State loss.

    • McJigglets

Sammy threw for a higher completion percentage, more yards and the same amount of touchdowns as Poser Rosen – who people say was detested by his bruin teammates. Oh, and he won a Rose Bowl and P12 championship at SC.

  • Jack B

Darnold went from bench warmer to possible #1 draft pick in just two seasons for a HC and OC who were both learning on the job. Not bad for a San Clemente surfer dude who never played that much HS ball and had to beat out a so-called 5-star frozen statue who was Helton’s favorite.

    • Tebow_Obama

LMFAO! Helton has been with the Trojans since your boy (who you refer to as your “Kiffer”…how stupid! AHA HA HA HA!) Kiffin was hired way back in 2010, it’s now 2018. 8 years since this clown Clay Helton joined the Trojans and the idiot Sunshine Pumpers love to try and convince themselves that Helton is just barely getting to know his players and that he needs plenty of excuses made for him such as, “Helton is still learning on the job” in order to try and justify his poor second rate coaching.

Helton has learned all he’s ever going to know about football and it ain’t much, it’s why he’ll only ever be a second rate coach

      • Jack B

How’s that big $40+ mil USC debt obligation coming pota*rd? Could you be more stupid!

And now you include “The Kiffer” in every one of your lame Troll posts. You need to see a super shrink for your Kiffer OCD problem too.

Let’s see – no brains plus you’re an OCD patient too. Hah. Bad prognosis Troll Boy. Moron.

        • Tebow_Obama

Maybe someday your reading comprehension will improve and you’ll stop clowning yourself by trying to convince others you’re not clueless. You and your buddy Pud are the only ones who can’t comprehend facts.

          Try harder.

          LOL!

        • Independent_George

          Jack,

Tebow_Obama=Bucket=Yoda=any number of trollish accounts on this board.

          Don’t let him trigger you.

BTW: I liked Bucket better. The Bucket character had a better sense of humor. Please bring him back.

      • Tebow_Obama

It’s 2018, Helton joined the Trojans in 2010…give it up, quit trying to make excuses for Helton’s second rate coaching.

        • Jack B

          Keep writing to yourself moron.

          • Tebow_Obama

            It’s 2018…Helton was hired in 2010.

  • Pac12 fan

Surprised he didnt sign with Rep 1 based on their success with QBs like Roethisberger, marriota, Wentz, and Bortles

    • rusoviet

Yeah then again the old race track saw applies. “….you always hear about the winnings….you never hear about the losses….”

    • Jack B

So you’re also the agent advice giver for college superstar QBs? You little gutties are endlessly talented.

  • j metaphor

    He’s the next Matt Barkley

    • Jack B

Barkley shoved it to ucla’s arse 3 out of 4 times and once beat you 50-0. Next!

    • gotroy22

Rosen is the next Kevin Prince.

  • JustOwns

The Piglet peaked in the 2017 RB due to some of the most egregious, idiotic FB coaching by the Penn St HC and staff since Little Petey blew the 206 NC or the SB victory on the Patriot 1 yard line.

    • gotroy22

What would a ruin loser lib like you know about football or any other subject for that matter?
