Morning Buzz: The Rest Of USC’s Recruiting Class

With 10 players signed last month and four more commitments, who else will USC sign? Here’s what I would say right now: linebacker Solomon Tuliaupupu from Mater Dei; wide receiver Devon Williams of Antelope Valley; cornerbacks Olaijah Griffin (Mission Viejo), Isaac Taylor-Stuart (Helix) and Julius Irvin (Servite) along with offensive tackle Penei Sewell of St. George, Utah.

  1. That’s quite a haul for a staff that has so many coaches who seemingly doesn’t enjoy the recruiting process. And, before somebody starts the USC recruits on their name, Tide sells on their name…. you don’t make the second purchase if there product doesn’t preform. Obviously, the athletes are impressed enough with where the USC program is headed to make that commitment.

    • Well it all depends. If we get all these players it’s because SC recruits itself. But if we miss on Sewell, Irvin or Williams. Well that’s because the lack of recruiting and the kids see a dying coach with a failing program.

      • Failing at USC? They all go in believing they are the guy that is going to make the difference. The football program at SC is far from failing my friend, and although you may not like him, he is held in high regard by his players, staff, and many fans and alumni. Not all for sure, especially on this site with Wolf leading the parade. Moms and dads give their sons over to Clay Helton, who sells USC. Does SC recruit itself, not that much, but it is getting better than it was. Still and always better than sucla.

        • Steveg read my post. Re-read that post. I’m in Helton’s corner, not because I don’t think he has flaws but because of where we were and where we’re at, I know it doesn’t happen overnight. I think the process is working. 2018 is a big year in that process not from wins and losses but from the perspective of ARe we getting more physical does the offensive line get push. Can the Db’s cover consistently. Do we look like we belong. A true top 5 program. I believe we will.

          • My humble apology. The only place USC looks soft is O line. Defense, at least to me is going to be lights out. Clancy has figured out how to stop the running QB, and with the speed of our linebackers on the outside, the rpo is going to be tough to run against us. If they can get some speed at middle LB, going to be very tough for offenses to move the ball. I love Cam Smith, he is slow, but he sure is disciplined.

          • We good, we’re all in this thing together. Even those who oppose my thought process. I just knew you read it wrong. Fight On.

          • OLine will be much better this year with Jackson at LT and Voorhees at RG. Sewell would be a huge get as we need OGs badly after next year. I doubt we take another WR. Especially with Pittman’s little bro coming in 2019. 2019 is going to be stacked with tons of WR talent.

          • We’ll get the answer to ‘Is Trojan Football 2018 For Real’ very early in the season. If our corners can help rather than hurt the team up at Palo Alto, we’re for real. If the o-line can give our QB a full 3 seconds to throw the ball, we’re for VERY real.

          • We will be better. As our Tackle talent will be much improved. Not because of Callaway. When is that guy going to be fired???

          • Your gonna get hit by the Debbie downer cadre on here who has no idea what it takes to climb out of the hole we were in. I agree with everything oube said especially the piece about why would top recruits come to USC if the coaching is so pathetic. Well they wouldn’t, families aren’t dumb.

      • It won’t be lack of recruiting. Besides coaches, current recruits are all over these kids 247.

    • Also, many players and/or their parents place a premium on education quality and value of the degree.

    • JT Daniels was just named the #17 top incoming offensive player in the nation by Bleacher Report. Not the most impressive ranking imaginable —but it looks a lot better when you consider the fact that none of the 16 payers ahead of him are on any of the teams we play in our regular schedule (those guys are all going to Clemson, Georgia or Miami).

      • Read the BR after you mentioned it, thanks.
Not sure who put it together, although I’d say they live in southeast.
Tanner Mckee on the list .even though he won’t play for 2 years .
Devon Williams ahead of JT ? If Devon comes to USC he will redshirt.
Who ever wrote this had little care about it being read out west.

      • There was an article on Bleacher Report about where top recruits were going to end up. I was shocked on how many offensive lineman were going to Georgia.

        • Me too. But, since we’re, at best, probably going to the Rose Bowl & not the playoffs for the next few years, it’s more of a problem for Alabama.

      • Outside of Bama, most teams need the QB to be the top player on offense. Heck, even the Tide needed a true frosh to bail them out in the title game. The reason why Georgia lost? Poor QB play. BR naming JT the 17th top incoming offensive player is a joke.

  2. Harvey Hyde’s podcast yesterday, about USC not recruiting toughness along the offensive line, was on point. And he called out Clay Helton, about the lack of emphasis on the running game

    • If we get 4-star Penei Sewell (#2 OG, best prospect in Utah) in addition to Liam Douglass (3-star) and Justin Dedich 4-star, #2 ranked OC), it will be ridiculous to complain about the added OLs. A superior grad or JC transfer out of somewhere would be phenomenal, but with Sewell, Douglass and Dedich, Hyde would have nothing to rant about, based on recruiting.

      • We don’t know any of these recruits personally, High School accolades mean nothing, Harvey Hyde was talking about the recent history of USC recruiting soft lineman. Damian Mama, and Zach Banner were highly decorated coming out of high school, and both were useless. Hyde said coaches have to recognize toughness, which is something Clay Helton, and his Bozo staff have no clue of

          • Fred is so (probably justifiably) disappointed in the play of our o-line that he keeps forgetting about that “other” line —which performed admirably in every game except Notre Dame.

          • They are a tougher bunch —with way more swagger. I just wonder if Callaway will know what to do with them, steveg.

          • Yeah—I would surely hate to see Callaway un-do what Udeze has already done with player attitude and physicality….

          • Nothing new —and that’s good news. USC must be working hard at keeping Udeze.

          • I think we have plenty of good OL. 5+1 (McKenzie )last year. plus the 2-3 this year.Total maybe 15 ?
Strength condition /Coaching is where it has to come together. Leadership would help .Conway s job on line. Their his guys now.

          • “Tell that to the D line”…. Man, what are you talking about, you get off topic all the time, just to make conversation…smh

          • I love Fred….but he thinks “staff’ are only the ones working with the o-line. And, thank God, that’s not true.
            #WhatIfCallawayCoachedBothLines?

          • Fred is okay, I disagree with him sometimes, but no big deal.

Amazing what your mind can come up with. One of the scariest comments I’ve seen on here.
            #WhereCouldIOrderAFresnoStShirt

          • Information is power, steveg. Now I know how to really scare you: What if Callaway is made interim Head Coach during a mid season transition?
            #Re-ReadThisJustBeforeBedTime

          • I have enough trouble going to sleep, leave my feeble old mind alone.

            #NeverHireASadisticLawyer

          • Callaway half time speech for Notre Dame game 2018: “Now get out there and play hard! What’s that?! I hope that wasn’t a question!! Cuz I ain’t answering any damn questions!”
            #”QuestionsAreJustWayOfTryingToTrickMe”

        • And Harvey was a roaring success as a coach. Helton is 20 times the coach Harvey ever was. The idea that he would criticize any other coach is rediculuos.

        • While Mama and Banner were certainly over-rated prep slugs who lacked athleticism and ability to go along with their size, I don’t understand your over-reliance on poor Harvey Hyde, who hasn’t coached in almost 30 years and wasn’t any good when he did.

Hyde was 8-37-1 at UNLV and his players we always in severe trouble. Sorry, but Harvey Hyde couldn’t even hold Bruce Rollinson’s jock as a HS coach at Mater Dei. Now if Rollo, just a HS coach, was saying this stuff, I might listen. By Hyde? Not a chance. Hyde’s a simple joke more than anything.

          • Feel free to think he’s some big expert from the dinasaur era. A lot of us view him as a simple-minded clown who couldn’t coach D1 ball if he tried. He has no idea of what it takes to compete at an elite level, none.

There’s plenty of CH critics out there, me included. Hyde’s just another failed coach who has learned that talk is easy from the cheap seats.

        • We don’t need Harvey Hyde to tell us what we can ALL see – that USC has misevaluated some of its OL recruits over the last several years. Harvey’s hardly some authority, himself. He fully stunk up the joint as a college coach 30 years ago and is no more qualified to critique USC football than your average fan.

      • Was reading that saban will be in Anaheim on Tuesday night to visit Irvin..not giving up easily.

    • According to the stats, USC ran the ball 543 times for 2591 yards, passed the ball 491 times for 4186 yards. Sounds balanced offense I thought. Am I wrong?

      • As usual you are, because USC didn’t run the ball when they were supposed to, I don’t care how many yards they totaled

        • I see. So you know and nobody else knows when to run the ball and when to run the ball again. Yardage is only a stat I agree. Not sure those Bozo coaches can keep up with you Fred.

          • Don’t tell Fred Ohio St couldn’t run the ball either vs SC when they were “supposed” to like in the 2nd half.

          • Ohio St. didn’t try very hard to run when up 17 points and their defense strangling the listless, Piglet lead, bozo offense

          • “Ohio St didn’t try very hard” yeah ok because teams and players don’t have it drilled into them about NFL scouts etc watching tape all the time. The myth that teams purposely don’t try hard when they have a lead is a myth. Do they execute as well, maybe or maybe not. If the effort isn’t there then they’ll be replaced and they know this.

          • Owns was in the Ohio State locker room at half time when Meyer told the players, “From here on, I want nothing but three and outs! Does everyone understand that?! I don’t want to score another point! Keep it at 24!”

      • Many games USC couldnt establish its run game because of the front 7 penetration from opposing teams.

        • USC stumbled when trying to pick up the blitz. I always wondered why Sam never had any audibles he could call when making his initial reads.

  3. More February magic? SW likes to be right. I hope he’s spot on with those picks…..

  4. Right or wrong, Scott putting his money on the line is great!! If it’s correct it is a great class..

    • I’ve never known SW to make a list BEFORE signing day.Usually it’s who we missed after. He even went on limb with Sewell …..
Just looked in sky to see if pigs fly.

      • They do fly, and on a thin limb at that. I can respect that though…doing his job and taking a stand!

  5. Getting all six is going to be tough. If it’s the case what a recruiting class. Sewell has been wearing Bama gear lately that doesn’t make it 100 percent but it can’t help. The fact he didn’t come in with the rest of his boys this weekend is also not a good sign. One could argue he’s seen all he needs to see in terms of SC. IMO Sewell, Griffin, Stuart are the Big gets because of need. Irvin too but not as much as those three. Looking at Bama sites it looks as if they think Irvin is a big get for they’re needs.

  6. Sewell would be a surprise and I’m not sure how good he is, doesn’t play against much competition in St George Utah

  7. If we got them all that would be 4 cornor backs in one class. Great job but that means someone is going to sit. Let the cream rise to the top. Hope they don’t scare each other off before signing day.

    • A. it’s basketball
      B. We are underachieving AGAIN.
      C. We killed a cupcake, but not impressively. (18-point Favs won by 18.)

        • Aaaaannnnnndddddd?

We won in Women’s hoops, Women’s Water Polo, Men’s Tennis…none of which are under-achieving and 2 of which are serious contenders to bring more NCs to us.

        • Flow would definitely mention a loss?

That’s because a “top 10” team losing is news; beating up a basement team is NOT.

  8. It seems to me that recruiting has not been the issue these last couple of years – Trojans are getting quality kids, that have talent- the issue has been… hmmmm what could it be??? coaching perhaps…..

  9. So Clay Helton is using the Trojans blow out losses to Alabama, Notre Dame and Ohio State as a recruiting tool? Clay Helton and his offense coaching staff using the Trojans mediocre play where the Trojans struggled vs mediocre and soft teams and barely came away with wins, is that another selling point Helton is using as part of his recruiting tool arsenal?

USC Trojan football recruits itself, most if not all of the recruits that have committed or signed with the Trojans were coming anyway, they’ve grown up Trojan fans, they sure as hell aren’t coming to USC because of Clay Helton’s coaching abilities because the man has none.

With each passing year dating back to 2010 when Clay Helton was initially hired at USC, there have been less and less Trojans players being drafted into the NFL and certainly less and less Trojans players having extended NFL careers because the Trojans players that have played under Kiffin, Sarkisian and Helton haven’t been properly coached up. Whatever success those players have had in college or the NFL can be attributed to their own natural talent because like I said, Kiffin, Sarkisian and Helton aren’t teaching them anything that they didn’t already know.

So this notion that Clay Helton is bringing in some spectacular recruiting class because these recruits want to play for him is a joke. I dare any of you Clay Helton supporters to try and name one player, name one player since Clay Helton has been at USC that has attributed his play as having improved as a direct result of Clay Helton’s coaching…go ahead and see if you can find one, it ain’t going to happen.

So stop with the nonsense that Helton is bringing in a stellar recruiting class, the recruits that have signed or committed were always coming to USC regardless off who the head coach was or is.

    • Stupid Hillbilly Troll, St Brown’s brothers went to different schools, and Sewell grew up in Utah. They came, or will come because they’ve been convinced to come. Your full of it and your useless statement of opinion that you claim are facts are a joke..
      Stupid hillbilly troll.

      • Name one player that has said they were coming to USC because they want to be coached up by Clay Helton. Name one you stupid sunshine pumping clown. You can’t because you boy Clay Helton is a terrible coach.

        LOL!

Or better yet, name one Trojan that has gone onto the NFL that has said Clay Helton’s coaching was responsible for that player making it to the NFL.

You’re not going to find one player saying that, so all this garbage you spew here in this forum where you think you know what you’re talking about, you don’t know chit!

LMFAO! You thinking you know recruiting, thinking you have the inside scoop on what players are doing what…you’re as big a joke as Clay Helton.

Just shut up, Bozo…you don’t have a clue.

        • Your so stupid, figure it out, which ones said that SC failed them?? Oh you such a smart guy.. Nwosu, Green, Falah, even Adoree got his Thorpe award by accident. You’re a stooge..Smith-Schuster might have improved but then your just a pos looking for a bowl..go home Hillbilly Troll.

          • The guy takes great joy arguing with people even when he’s completely wrong and out in left field

He logs into his Gomer helton handle to give himself an upvote, pathetic

        • Tool time is over, back to work. The heads are filthy, wolf had a rough night and gomer helton completely missed the rim(what a loser)

      • Hey Nancy Pudly, you track down those players you said committed to USC because they wanted to play for the “Great Coaching Genius” Clay Helton yet?

The “Great Coaching Genius” Clay Helton that has sent so many Trojans onto the NFL where they have become Pro Bowlers and All Pro’s.

        LMFAO! That never happened.

No you haven’t tracked down any players who have attributed any NFL success to Clay Helton or Lane Kiffin or Steve Sarkisian…because there aren’t any.

You want to know why Nancy Pudly, because the “Three Stooges” that you love so much, Kiffin, Sarkisian and Helton (all cut from the same cloth) have wasted USC’s talent, that’s why.

Those “Three Stooges” in all the years they were at USC never were able to coach up any of the 4 and 5 star recruits that were highly ranked coming out of high school, the only thing the “Three Stooges” developed at USC was reducing the Trojan football program to being not even being mediocre vs elite teams to struggling vs soft teams that they should have been blowing out.

    • Not to state the obvious, but of course they’re are less players going into the NFL from 2010 to the present. They’re we’re less Trojans in the program during those yrs. In fact one yr. we sent 42 players to a road game. People forget easily win trying to push an agenda. Do know how many players made NFL rosters last yr from SC? Bet you don’t? Other wise you wouldn’t be making such remarks.

      • The sanctions were done in 2014.

In 2010 USC had the #1 ranked recruiting class, did you know that…no you didn’t.

In 2011, did you know that USC had signed 30 commits and had the #4 ranked recruiting class in the nation? No you didn’t.

In 2012, USC had the #8 ranked recruiting class in the nation. Did you know that? Nope, you didn’t.

In 2013, did you know that USC had the #13 ranked recruiting class in the nation? Again, no you didn’t.

In 2014, did you know that USC had signed 20 commits and pulled in the #10 ranked recruiting class? Nope, you didn’t.

In 2015, did you know that USC had the #1 ranked recruiting class in the nation, again? USC signed 26 recruits that year. Nope, you didn’t.

In 2016, USC signed 20 commits, #10 ranked recruiting class in the nation. You didn’t know that.

In 2017, 23 commits, #6 ranked recruiting class. You didn’t know that either.

        • Stupid hillbilly, how many graduating seniors this year?? You’re so stupid. Why so few seniors? Sanctions maybe? You terminal idiot.

          • “graduating seniors” LMFAO!

Just shut up you idiot, you’re clueless. We’re talking football here, it’s big business.

Run along, Nancy…go see if you can track down one of those players you say came to USC to play for Clay Helton because you said he was a great coach.

            “graduating seniors”…you’re an idiot.

            LMFAO! Classic!

          • Stupid hillbilly, why so few seniors? Can’t answer because it doesn’t fit your agenda… your so full of crud you see only brown light..

            Hillbilly troll.

          • Let me ask you a question? Do you think a five star player say J.T. is going to come to SC just because it’s SC? He’s thinking about development and becoming a number one drafted player. Do really think he’s thinking of jeopardizing this just to come to USC. Really man, think.

          • Well if J.T. is thinking about that, he’s dumb as a rock. Not one single former bozo QB has started, won or loss a SB, ever.

          • “it’s big business”

So trolling a blog is big business…LOL!
            must suck to be you

            #BasementLife
            .

        • Dude it doesn’t matter where they ranked. Some of those yrs. we had 15 recruits. Also how many injuries and transfers that we wasn’t able to replace because of sanctions. All I’m saying is given the perspectives it’s is easy to see why they may not have produced as many NFL players.

          • Yes it did..went through this with you already..you’re a hillbilly troll and lying comes naturally to you.

          • That’s his debating style, he yells it didn’t happen then holds his breath till everybody leaves.

          • So….what if we don’t go away?
            #IsLifePossibleW/OAir?
            #HaveWeStumbledOnTheAnswer?

          • Did I stutter? I listed the sanction year recruits above, lets see how well you do at trying to make excuses about how badly the “severely depleted” (bunch of B.S. you people keep using) roster was affected by sanctions.

          • Man I don’t know what to tell ya. Except what world do live in, The NCCA which the California Supreme Court said they used Extreme Malice and Prejudice against SC. These same people didn’t follow though and make sure we followed those very sanctions which it penalized. Ok?

          • I never stated that the NCAA didn’t screw over USC, but this crap about how you and all the other Sunshine Pumpers keep saying the Trojans didn’t have the players to compete during the sanction years is B.S.

Here try this, you go look up the total number of players actually being used during a game on average that a CFB team uses per game, then you come back and try and sell me on your sanctions being the reason why you think USC was so hindered during the sanction years.

          • I just said that they actually went with 42 players on a road game . The NFL has a 53 man roster plus 10 man practice squad. Up to 90 for spring training. This is the NFL. But ur saying that they didn’t have problems during sanctions. Not to mention the NFL can bring in as many players deem necessary as long as they are under the cap.

          • You show me one year where USC had only 42 players on their roster for the year.

How many players a coach chooses to take on a road game or use in any game is entirely up to the coach. But to suggest and try and use that coaches stupidity, tu utilize so few players from his roster as for a reason expectations should be so low for a Trojan football team is beyond stupid.

          • Check out June 10th 2014. Bleacher reported that SC has 44 scholarships players at the Las Vegas bowl. Quote “ 41 fewer than normal.” Journalists Ben Kercheval.

          • You mean this 2014 USC Trojans roster…featuring these players

You mean that 2014 USC Trojans roster?

          • You provide the link where J.T. Daniels said he’s committed to USC because he wants his QB talent to be developed by Clay Helton.

            LOL!

            I’m waiting.

          • you would find that many only in the 50’s…’52 team is my all time favorite…I think they are pointing out SC chose to only take that many scholarship players that were not injured, or declared grade ineligible, etc…the sanctions did hurt some, but the coaching hurt worse, those practices like now are way too soft to play against the BigBoys, as we have seen.

          • I actually concur with most of your evals, but I think Kiffin did have a high rated class of 4 and 5 stars, but about only 15 in it…and are you really as angry about SC football as you sound? I am a long time ardent SC fan,my first game to attend was 1951…but unless you are a Red Sanders clone, life is a little more than football, sometimes …right? hope my spelling was ok.

    • I think he bringing them in because Clay Helton is a man of his word. Not all of those top players are going to start so they have to be convinced that they will get a fair shot if they come to USC.

      • A fair shot to start…WTF? Michael Pitman’s father had to talk to Helton about why his son wasn’t seeing any playing time. Helton said it was because Micheal Pitman was hurt. That was news to Michael Pitman and his father.

Is that the “fair shot” recruiting tactic you’re referring to?

Come on, you people really are something else. And you claim to have gone to USC and graduated? Please!

  10. Even during the years USC was under NCAA sanction the Trojans never has a problem in getting 4 and 5 star recruits to commit and sign…that’s because USC is USC.

  11. USC with it’s overwhelming advantage in number of 4 and 5 star recruits that it gets heading into every college football season should not be struggling to pull out wins vs the likes of Arizona, UCLA, a bad Texas team, Cal, Utah, Colorado and WESTERN MICHIGAN!

  12. I just hope any of these kids don’t look here for advice. Not because of anything the reporter has said or done, but because we all have opinions and they often clash. It looks like Trojan fans cannot agree on anything, but that is not true.
I believe all Trojan fans want the team to win. Some like a physical overpowering team, some want an exciting team and very few like it when we squeak by a team we shouldn’t have trouble with.
That being said, I would love to see all of these kids at SC and be it for 3 years or 4, I’d rather have them on our roster than any of the grad transfers. A one and done player does nothing to build the future. Having a grad transfer on the roster is like putting oatmeal on a roof leak. It wont last long enough. Juco kids are a different story they have been great over the years and if they have earned a spot, we need them.
    Feel free to disagree

    • Would agree with you, but then that might mean that Stevie T. wasn’t the man a couple of years ago. I do think that he built up the program as he contributed to the very productive Polynesian pipeline that has been established throughout the years.

  13. Lets look at some of the Pete Carroll recruiting years.

    2009 – 18 players signed #1 ranked recruiting class.

    2008 – 19 players signed #8 ranked recruiting class.

    2007 – 18 players signed #2 ranked recruiting class.

    2006 – 27 players signed #1 ranked recruiting class

    2005 – 19 players signed #1 ranked recruiting class.

    2004 – 19 players signed #1 ranked recruiting class.

Lets look at the “Three Stooges” (Kiffin, Sarkisian & Helton) recruiting years

    2017 – 23 players signed #6 ranked recruiting class

    2016 – 20 players signed #10 ranked recruiting class.

    2015 – 26 players signed #1 ranked recruiting class.

    2014 – 20 players signed #10 ranked recruiting class.

    2013 – 12 players signed #13 ranked recruiting class.

    2012 – 16 players signed #8 ranked recruiting class.

    2011 – 30 players signed # 4 ranked recruiting class.

    2010 – 18 players signed #1 ranked recruiting class

Interesting, in 2011 during in the midst of the NCAA sanctions USC signed 30 players…30 players.

Pete Carroll never signed 30 players ever and his teams were never under sanction.

  14. Question Of The Day

The “Three Stooges” (Kiffin, Sarkisian & Helton) coaching years 2010 – 2017

Throughout all those years and all those highly ranked recruiting classes that USC pulled in, how many of the numerous 4 and 5 star recruits (and there were a lot of them) were coached up by the “Three Stooges” have gone onto exceptional NFL careers?

Remember, Clay Helton has been coaching at USC since 2010, it’s now 2018, so he’s seen his fair share of 4 and 5 star recruits that he should have been able to coach up while at USC if he had a clue on how to coach.

  15. So now the word from the Sunshine Pumpers here in this forum is that J.T. Daniels reason for coming to USC is for QB development.

BWA HA HA HA HA HA! Oh my side hurts from laughing so much!

Yeah, as if the “Three Stooges” (Kiffin, Sarkisian & Helton) have such a great track record of developing QB talent.

    ROTFLMFAO!

Out of all the highly ranked QB recruits that have played under and been “coached up” under the Three Stooges, which one have they developed that amounted to anything in the NFL? Name one.

J.T. Daniels is coming to USC to be coached up by Clay Helton to develop his talent…AHA HA HA HA HA HA!

That has to be the dumbest chit I’ve ever read in this forum.

Put up the link to that supposed quote by J.T. Daniels that he’s coming to USC to be developed and coached up by Clay Helton because if that kid said that USC should pull it’s scholarship offer like yesterday!

    • June 7th La Times journalist Gary Klein. Due to Sanctions, injuries and attrition USC brings 44 scholarship players to the Las Vegas bowl. June 10th 2014. Journalists Ben Kercheval from Bleacher reports 44 players quote “ 41 less than normal. So that’s two.

      • You and Gary Klein need to pull your heads out of your arse. Look at the 2014 USC Trojans roster, you telling me most of those players were injured.

“attrition” due to the NCAA, with that roster?

LOL! Like I said, try harder.

  16. Lets debate this. Why would Steve Sarkisian (One of the Sunshine Pumpers Trojan Heroes) only want to take 41 scholarship players to the 2014 Holiday Bowl when his 2014 USC Trojans roster included all these players…a lot of them 4 and 5 star recruits.

Does this 2014 USC Trojans football roster look like it was severely depleted due to NCAA sanctions?

    • All or any of you Sunshine Pumpers care to explain where NCAA sanctions hindered this 2014 USC Trojans football roster?

      • Well first of all CNN. It was the 2013 roster and it was the Las Vegas bowl. But just like CNN you move truths to get your agenda past those who are delusional like you. I hope I spelled it correctly for ya.

  17. Hope SW is right. If all of these guys signed it will be an impressive class. And if CH can turn them into a winning team great. If not , the next HC will have a fully stocked roster. CH may not deliver a NC, but he has definitely help lead the program out of the weeds.

    • ” CH may not deliver a NC, but he has definitely help lead the program out of the weeds.”

What weeds? USC has had a top 15, mostly top 10 recruiting class every year since 2002.

So what weeds are you referring to?

      You’re clueless too.

  18. Anyone else seen Kaled Holmes phone app called Talegate? New, and supposed to have stuff from players and fans. It is a phone app. I got it on play store. I guess apple has it too.

  19. All of you people here in this forum who say you’re Trojan alumn sure can’t spell worth a crap.

And then you have the nerve to try and criticize Mr. Wolf? Are you serious?

    You’re pathetic.

  20. Amazing how any offensive lineman can be hoodwinked to come be coached under Neil Callaway and what his coaching has shown these past 2-years.

  21. That sounds great to me. My question is “that’s 6 players….where are they going to get the scholarships”. As I understood it, they only had 3 left.

  22. The Georgia Bulldawgs are having a 2018 recruiting year that pails all others. Look out Nick and your Crimson Tide.
