Battle brewing?

USC's first commitment from the Class of 2007 was linebacker Chris Galippo of Servite High in Anaheim, who selected the Trojans last month over Notre Dame. But sources say even though Galippo announced he is coming to USC, UCLA intends to make a strong push for the talented linebacker.

Well, if I'm a talented linebacker whose childhood favorite is USC, then it stands to reason that the first thing Dullard should do is waste recruiting resources on a guy who's a Trojan lock.

I love the UCLA braintrust!

i actually think this is a good idea by UCLA and Dullard. USC has Maiava,Brown,Maualuga,Cushing and the 3 new kids that just signed all vying for playing time at 3 LB spots. UCLA might have a chance!

If I were a top linebacker prospect like Galippo, I'd be more eager to play for UCLA's greatest linebacker than for its most obscure receiver to make the NFL. Thanks to the latter, who heads the coaching staff at UCLA, the former coaches linebackers at USC.
