Bushwhacked?

The NFL is abuzz this afternoon with talk the Houston Texans are close to wrapping up a deal with defensive end Mario Williams because they are tired of stalled negotiations with Reggie Bush's advisors.
Either this is an elaborate smokescreen or the end of a terrible week for Bush. For months he's talked about playing in Houston, and the favorable tax situation in Texas.
Now he might be playing in New Orleans. Stay tuned.

With Williams officially signing with the Texans, I hope the Jets trade their two first rounds with NO for the second pick and draft Bush. It would be a perfect situation for Reggie. He will be able to learn the position behing a seasoned vetran (Curtis Martin) who probably has one or two seasons left in him. NO already has Deuce and Michael Bennett. This trade looks perfect so it probably won't happen.

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
