Friend Of The Program

From the London Evening Standard: ``A mini-riot erupted at Heathrow airport after rapper Snoop Dogg and a 30-strong entourage clashed with police in a departure lounge.
``The men - mostly minders - apparently turned violent after being refused entry to a first-class lounge, smashing up a duty free shop, throwing bottles and attacking officers . . .
``Six men, including the 34-year-old American rapper, were arrested. A Heathrow worker, who took photos from his mobile phone, said: "There were all these huge, 20-stone men smashing up display cabinets and throwing people around. I saw Snoop Dogg on the ground, with four riot police trying to put him in handcuffs. His minders were throwing bottles at people.''

Why is that a cheap shot? Did Scott encourage Snoop Dog to riot?

This is a cheap shot. Scott, for every spoonful of medicine you force the unwilling Trojan faithful to swallow, you tend to shoot yourself in the foot with these silly broadsides, furthering the perception that you have it out for USC.

So is it the UCLA program's fault Ricky Manning Jr. decided beat down someone who had the gall to work on a laptop at 2 am at the Westwood Denny's.

What is important is what Sanchez did. Go find out!!!!

For a guy who loves to bring the hammer to the SC program, you're being awfully slow in ascertaining the facts in the Sanchez case. If this was Leinart, you'd be tripping over yourself to say that he was guilty...

I have always wondered why Snoop was welcomed by the staff.

I think Carroll likes to give everyone the benefit of the doubt... the whole "A Better LA" thing. Maybe he is trying to influence Snoop.

Just not necessary. I have a lot of respect for your reporting but this is just an unprofessional cheap shot. This is the kind of thing I'd expect from the Daily Bruin and not your column.

Doesn't seem like anyone is "forcing" anyone to read anything. It's great to be "loyal" but not to the point of being blind; the Sanchez case is less than 24 hours old. I guess I don't understand why my fellow Trojans are so thin skinned. I appreciate the blog and take the good with the bad.

Was this latest post merely an attempt to keep your cut'n paste skills sharpened, Scott?

Sheesh---I could've read this straight from the AP!

Oh wait---I did.

Typical Wolf. Yet another cheap shot. I don't know why he does these things! Just like a few weeks ago when he took a cheap shot at Gary Bernardi for no apparent reason whatsoever!

Doug said:

Wow. You have to be kidding. This is completely irrelevant to a USC. Now, we now you have it out for USC. And now I have no respect for you or your pitiful wannabe paper. It's no wonder that I subscribe to the LA Times.

Do you realize that the only connection between this story and USC is your headline? This is flat out childish. I don't know why you have it out for USC bud, but I'm tired of reading about your repeated self-serving bashing of USC.

The fact that you remain employed at the Daily News is an indictment of your employer. And now I understand why USC purposefully fed you false information regarding the supposed committment of that Florida RB a few months ago.

I'd rather have Snoop Dogg as "friend of the program" then to have you as you one, Scott.

Can you smell what you're shoveling?

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
