Practice scare

| | Comments (6) |

Tailback Hershel Dennis gave everyone a scare when he crashed to the turf after his left knee gave out during a non-contact drill at practice. Trainers said Dennis sprained his knee but Dennis will undergo a magnetic-resonance imaging test today because it's the same knee he tore knee ligaments in December, 2004.

Dennis was in his first practice since being out two weeks with a pulled hamstring.
``I'm fine. They just need to check it out and get an MRI,'' said Dennis, who was walking around an hour after practice without problems.

Scott,
I just found your blog and love it! Thanks for the quick insights on spring camp. I'm an SC Alum living on the east coast, so I live for these few internet glimpses into football season!

It looks more and more that SC will will be featuring a true freshman at running back to start the season. With most of their returning Rb's coming off injuries, Stafon Johnson will be starting.

Hey Scott,
Good stuff on this blog. I think you've found a nice niche to supplement the info you provide in the paper. That said, onto my question, how has Dennis looked in the limited drills he's been involved in? You remember his ability level from a couple years ago, I was wondering how he compares post injury of late. Thanks, Scott.
