The Best QB Prospect Not Named Clausen

USC hosted quarterback Mike Paulus of Syracuse, N.Y., last weekend and offered him a scholarship, but it faces the same hurdle that led Jimmy Clausen to commit to Notre Dame last week.
Namely, Mark Sanchez.
Clausen was not interested in competing with Sanchez and we hear Paulus is also grappling with that issue. If he overcomes that fear, then he might commit to USC.
It's similar to the dilemma USC faced recruiting a running back when Reggie Bush and LenDale White were the starting tailbacks.

Let's also not forget about Garrett Green. you never know how these young kids will mature over time and even though Garrett was not highly recruited he could become a good QB.

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
