Ticket Crunch

| | Comments (2) |

It’s only early April, but it’s no longer possible to buy season tickets for USC football games. At least if you want to buy tickets for every home game.

The athletic dept. is only offering season tickets for the Pacific-10 Conference games, which means the two best games on the home schedule (Nebraska, Notre Dame) are no longer available.
The official explanation is that USC sold out of individual game tickets for the Nebraska and Notre Dame games. Season ticket sales are currently around 60,000, which is a record. One reason for this is that some creative Nebraska fans bought season tickets, seeing it as a way to guarantee a ticket to the Sept. 16 game at the Coliseum.
Limited ticket sales are not restricted to home games. There’s a good chance road tickets to the Oregon State, Washington State, Arizona and Stanford games will not be available to the general public. Stanford, which is reducing its stadium capacity to 50,000, will offer only 3,000 seats to USC.

Those Nebraska fans can probably make their money back off of the Notre Dame game alone.

There is one more way to get Season tickets... Join an athletic support group.
