Right before the story broke regarding the living arrangement of Reggie Bush’s parents in April, there was word in NFL circles that a prominent sports agent was leaking the story to media members because he did not sign Bush as a client.
The story became so pervasive that the agent contacted USC and denied shopping the story on Bush.
If that agent was said to be leaking that to a certain Mr. Coles of the Miami Herald it would be true. I'll post the evidence if you say the name Scott. We all know that the Herald broke the story from across the country. We also know that the paper was ahead of the curve even to the point that they withdrew several articles because they said it wasn't verified independently (its on record.) The fact that the Hurricanes happy paper was taking shots at USC for allegedly BREAKING RULES was laughable. These were parental accusations not a student and not about academics or recruiting. AND IT IS STILL UNPROVEN.
Interesting. Didn't Leinart and Justice both unexpectedly fire a prominent sports agent about that time?? Wonder if there's a connection there...
Pete Carroll and USC will weather this storm because nothing will be found connecting Bush and his Father actions to USC. There will probably be some penalties and Bush's records thrown out but there will be no bowl restrictions and the BCS trophy won in 2004 will not be going anywhere.
