Inside Notre Dame
We’re 2,000 miles from South Bend but I talked to someone tonight with first-hand knowledge who said Notre Dame sent a Hummer stretch limo to pickup Oaks Christian quarterback Jimmy Clausen during his recent visit and commitment. Sounds a bit excessive, no?
There’s also reports that a sports agent helped coordinate the public announcement of the commitment at the College Football Hall of Fame.

Notre Dame is untouchable for the time being. Just wait until they start winning back-to-back NC's and a build-up of media hype and you'll see the ESPN machine take them down just as they currently are USC.

You do realize that both the limo and reports of a PR person (not sports agent) setting up the press conference were both reported and shown on video on ESPN over a week ago, right?
Do you honestly think that the Clausen family, with two sons who have already gone through the collge football process and a very media savvy dad, are dumb enough to involve a sports agent to coordinate the commitment at the College HOF and risk Jimmy's football future?
And while yes, the stretch Hummer limo was a bit excessive, I'm sure you also realize that AM General, the company that makes the Hummer, is headquartered in South Bend and as such they are frequently seen in and around town.

Notre Dame sent a limo for Clausen? I didn't realize your sources at USC had first hand knowledge of the interworkings in South Bend.
You are giving the folks in the SID department at Notre Dame a good laugh though. The idea that Notre Dame would send a limo for the #1 recruit in the country who's being followed around by ESPN all day is beyond laughable.
I realize that USC is having some hard times with reported NCAA violations lately, but this is a pretty pathetic attempt at trying to make up one at Notre Dame.
Better luck next time.

Ha! Nice attempt at deflecting USC woes in another direction. Just because Pete Poodle isn't smart enough to keep his players clean doesn't mean your competition isn't either. The clausen's hired a PR firm that arranged the entire event which only looks excessive if you're on the losing end of the commitment.
Bit of advice, you can't sustain a healthy diet on sour grapes.

What's the big deal about a Hummer limo?
You don't think I'm worth it? Why should my dad have to pay for it anyway?
Listen up! The College Football Hall of Fame got a bunch of free publicity when I showed up and I gave them plenty of props. That place is usually like a morgue and now it's going to be jumping since I put it on the map. At $12.00 a pop, that's a big pile of coin they are going to make.
Heck, they even gave me a free tour of the place and didn't even charge me to get in. I already picked out where I want them to hang my jersey.
I also gave my private quarterback coach Steve Clarkson plenty of love, too. His Air 7 quarterback camps should be sold out for the next four years with all the love I gave him at MY press conference. So, I don't know where all this Jimmy Me talk is coming from.
Here is his website:

I could never understand why Leinart didn't give him love in all those interviews. You think he would be grateful for all those free lessons. I know I am.
You can count on Jimmy. Marc Tyler is pretty much in the bag after him and me doing up South Bend in that big old Hummer. I gotta give Coach big props for the idea. Marc was loving it baby. Everywhere we went boosters were coming up and shaking his hand and patting him on the back and telling him to sign up. Dang, sometimes I felt left out. You see what I'm talking about here on my new video:

Yea, Coach knows how to do it just like in the NFL. Limos, press agents handling your annoucements, College Football Hall of Fame; just like the NFL baby. I can't wait to get my four rings. And Daddy didn't have to pay for nothing. Just like when my brothers were airing out for Tennessee.
I had soooo much fun. The only downer was when that loser reporter asked me when I got the offer from Coach. Nobody was supposed to ask me questions like that. It was supposed to all friendly and all. Like I'm supposed to spill the beans if Coach had sent me the offer during the dead period or something stupid like that. Its cool though. I handled it like a champ. I guess the dude thought I was just a regular high school junior and not nineteen or something.
Yea, you keep an eye on us now! For the next four years college football is going to tremble when we step on the field. Just like the Tri-Valley league does now.
For now you can just drop the JC.
Its time a freshman won the Heisman.
