Leinart Almost A Jet

It turns out USC quarterback Matt Leinart nearly got his wish to play for the New York Jets. Although the Jets passed on Leinart with the fourth choice, they desperately tried to make a trade to secure him with the ninth pick, according to an NFL executive.
But the Detroit Lions rejected the Jets' overtures feeling the offers were too low. Once that trade fell through, the Cardinals picked Leinart with the 10th choice.
