So Now We Know What Interim Suspension Means
USC quarterback Mark Sanchez is prohibited from participating in summer football workouts until his sexual-assault case is resolved. That apparently is the penalty from being under ``interim suspension’’ according to the student affairs office.
I’ve already mentioned several times that those close to the investigation believe the case is weak and I suspect the case will be closed soon. So why is Sanchez unable to work out with his teammates?
My university sources offer these reasons: Student affairs needs some cover in case the district attorney actually filed charges and the suspension also addresses the issue of underage drinking, because Sanchez was at an off-campus club the night of the alleged incident.
The fact Sanchez is allowed to attend summer school is offered as an example of the university’s faith that Sanchez would not be charged with a crime.

if you were to take a poll of kids under 21 at SC with a fake ID, I bet that over 50% would have one (and that is a low estimate).
These kids can go to IRAQ, yet heaven forbid if they sneak into a club and have a drink. So many double standards.
I am glad that Mark is getting out and will root hard for him.
BTW, what an opportunity for Garrett Green.
Alot of kids under the age of 21 make bad decisions especially when alcohol is involved. Sample has made a point that underage drinking will not be tolerated. The Row has been put on notice of the school policy. As for why Mark is not back on the team IMO is that Michael Jackson is in China along with Sample and the Bd of Trustees and he's the one who has to make the call. Also the NOW letter didn't help Mark's position.
i thought sc had a great law school .....what ever happened to guilty until proven innocent??? i vote for double secret probation....at least we can understand that......???
The NOW letter is a joke. I doubt a single administrator at USC takes it seriously given the guilty even if he's innocent tone. It was written for their histrionic, politicized audience.
In other words its a non-factor, neither helping nor hurting Sanchez.
Wonder why no one at the 901 recognized Sanchez, and realized he could not be 21 as a Sophomore. Just another angle to ponder.
mark is stupid for putting himself in that situation use your head kid.
