Stewart Stays

USC guard Lodrick Stewart planned to announce this week he was turning pro. Note I did not say make himself available for the NBA draft without hiring an agent, but definitely ``turning pro.’’
But Stewart was advised by his father and USC coach Tim Floyd to return for his senior season and will now remain with the Trojans. Much like last year, Stewart will need to improve his academics during final exams and summer school to be eligible next season.

Hell have to improve more than just academically. I remember he and his brother were suppose to be pretty good coming out of college but all ive seen is mediocre play at best. His shot is inconsistent and if you tied his right arm to his torso it would be no different than how he plays now. Very dissapointing....

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
