7-On-7
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Keary Colbert worked out with the Trojans during Thursday’s 7-on-7 practice, catching passes from quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and John David Booty. Colbert is lifting weights at USC while in Southern California. His wife, former Notre Dame High track star Sierra Hauser-Price, recently started law school at Duke University.
Colbert said he looks forward to teaming up with fellow USC wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson.
Booty, recovering from back injury, throws about 60-70 passes each day. Incoming freshman wide receiver Travon Patterson from Long Beach Poly participated in the workout and caught a lot of passes.

KC is such a class act. Many former SC stars no longer come by campus as they used to in the off season to practice, train and hang out with each other (and current players) because of the high voltage spotlight at SC even in the off season. Keary is beyond that, working out with not only current stars and fellow pro players but kids who two days ago were high school students! Many of you will remember that KC set the bar and demanded a strong work ethic (as the hardest training guy on the team) from other players who relied on their talent. Steve Smith, formerely Sir-Works-a-Little, has now become the new KC they say b/c of that example. Hopefully we will see some more iron grip receivers pinch slightly errant footballs in their fingers and use their bicep flexes to catch while stiff arming safeties... We all miss you KC, and the example that you and your lovely wife set for youth, SC student-athletes and Trojans in general. Fight On!!!
