Game Cancelled, Part II

So why did USC and Colorado State cancel their game in 2008?
Because Colorado State asked to back out of the game, not eager to face the Trojans in the midst of their continued success. The Rams even offered to pay USC a fee to cancel the game.
USC gladly agreed because Pete Carroll loves the idea of playing a seventh home game instead of the usual six. And if you glance at the 2008 schedule, it means USC doesn’t need to go play in Denver the week before it hosts Ohio State.

Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
