Grade Check
Maybe there’s something to the theory that the busier you are, the better you perform. The football team compiled a better grade-point average in the fall semester than in the spring.
Five players made the dean’s list and four earned a grade-point average above 4.0 in the spring semester. Eighteen players were above 3.0.
But the Trojans’ overall GPA was .07 lower in the spring semester (2.42) than fall semester (2.49) despite not being burdened by the football season.
``We’ve got more time to play video games,’’ one player quipped about the difference.

Maybe they should hire hot tutors during the spring like the one Tommy Lee got on his reality TV show.
How do you earn higher than a 4.0?
No, not really Scott. This is an easily explained phenomenon. Athletes usually take the easier, less time consuming classes during the semester in which their sport plays.
the fix is in
How do you do??
What courses did "rocket scientist" "brain surgeon", Chauncey Washington, take to get his recent 3.8 average? I would assume practically ALL the USC athletes would be taking these courses, using his study methods, etc.
Hopefully, he really DID finally appply himself and do well, but given his past academic "work," it's difficult to fathom such a turn-around. And as I lamented a month or so ago, too bad Gabe Pruitt on the basketball team didn't have such study habits this past semester.
