Head-To-Head Battle
If USC and UCLA go head-to-head at any position in recruiting, it could be cornerback. Both schools offered Long Beach Poly’s Donovan Warren and Valencia’s Shane Vereen. But there’s a good chance Vereen could spurn the local schools and commit to Stanford.

warren will be a trojan. i don't think ucla stands a chance.
Well if past history means anything... this so-called "head-to-head" battle will be won by USC... If you look at the players that have an "SC" lean... what DB wouldn't want to play for SC... they have some of the top defensive linemen who will be wearing the Cardinal and Gold... and not to mention what might be the top collection of LB's in the nation... life will be easier for them if they are surrounded by all that talent.
SC didn't even recruit Austin last year...one of ucla's top recruits. I can't remember the last time that SC lost a poly recruit to ucla. SC has lost one to Cal though in Desean Jackson, yet I do believe that Desean, if he had to do it over, would be at SC.
We lost Mercedes Lewis to ucla. Poly had the "Fab 5" that year and we got 4 of the 5 (Dennis, Bing, Justice, Wright?).
UCLA won out on Marcedes Lewis
SC and UCLA are on different levels right now.
USC 66
UCLA 16
