I'm glad Coach Carroll is possibly considering sitting Rivers. He needs a kick in the pants and maybe this will do it. After the Texas game, the whole defense needs to sit!

I agree with Markal. Pete should show the Defense the 4th Quarter of the Texas game and tear the D depth chart in half. Throw every position up for grabs in camp.

markal, what does he need a kick in the pants for?... for getting hurt last year midway through the season?? or being an inexperienced sophomore. remember this was the first year he started. guys need to calm down and let players develope normally. rivers will be a top 10 pick by the time he leaves, mark my words

Keith needs to realize that his starting position isn't guaranteed. The best in practice start. If Maiava is playing better, then he should start. I agee with the previous poster that he needs a kick in the pants.

I still don't want to remember the Texas game. And why the hell were the Ting brothers on the field when we needed big guys to tackle Young. They were bouncing off of him like fleas.

With that said the defense needs to find new leaders. I thought last season Scott Ware and Dallas Sartz (before he got hurt) were the leaders on the field. Now the Trojans need some guys to step up and show they will be reliable in all phases of defense.

What has maiva done for anyone to think he should start??? a good spring, although he did have one so did keith. Well it doesn't matter the only way KR doesn't see more time than Maiva is he is hurt.
