On Recruiting

With commitments flowing in (see Marshall Jones), it’s worth talking about one of the Trojans’ first commitment, tailback Broderick Green of Little Rock, Ark. A few weeks ago, someone who knows Oaks Christian tailback Marc Tyler told me that Green would go elsewhere. That hasn’t happened yet though Green sounds less solid in his commitment.
After some digging, I’ve been told Green’s come under intense pressure in Arkansas over his commitment, which resulted in public comments leaving the door open to attending another school.

Is this why some out of state 5 stars don't announce their commitment until Feb.?

We're in a win-win situation here. If he does go elsewhere, no biggie as we have our power RB in Tyler to go along with another power back in Michael Coleman. It would also open up an other schollie for much more needed help along the lines. Plus, we don't have to deal with a guy who can't stand up to hometown pressure and/or doesn't want to compete. Having Brod Green would be nice, but not neccesary at this point. That's how loaded this team is, when a 5-star back potentially de-committing would not be a big deal at all. Incredible. Isn't it awesome to be a Trojan?

I thought Aaron Corp was just an insurance policy verbal at QB, and then I see that he is also a 5 Star guy. It is great to be a Trojan, even if you're a Titan!

Does anyone know if we are a lock to sign Steve Smith's little brother Malcom out of Taft HS?
He looks like a stud LB/RB and looks just like his elder sibling. I hope he doesn't bet on video games though...
