Sanchez Interview

| | Comments (19) |

USC quarterback Mark Sanchez said he is ``stronger than ever mentally’’ as he returns to summer workouts and 7-on-7 passing drills following the district attorney’s decision not to file sexual-assault charges.
Sanchez said he also feels improved physically this summer.
``The 7-on-7 is the best I’ve thrown in awhile,’’ Sanchez said. ``I haven’t been second-guessing myself.’’

He’s also more comfortable reading defenses.
``More than anything, I’ve learned to eliminate receivers, like down from five to three,’’ he said.
Sanchez said the ordeal of his arrest won’t hinder him as he prepares for this season.
``I’m feeling strong as ever and ready for anything,’’ Sanchez said. ``I’m ready for anything. That’s the mentality I have to have.’’
As for any damage to his reputation, Sanchez said he can’t worry about it.
``The people close to me, that know me, know what kind of person I am,’’ he said. ``I just need to trust in my family and myself. I was in the court of public opinion and I can’t worry about that.’’

Scott, this is actually an off topic question...

Why must you use the picture that you are for your blog? Do you really need to enhance the hatred level of your status among the many on these boards by doing that?

I know you love to do that, but even for me man, that's still too hard to take.

Glad to hear it Mark!! Dont let that bitch screw with your head.

don't get to excited trojans. 7-on-7 is not REAL football and my spies inside HH tell me that JDB is gone off to the pros (canadian league likely) regardless of weather or not he has a good year.

sorry trojans but bank on it.

sanchez (who should have been kicked out of school and living in prison) may have some talent but is totally and completely unproven. Big Ben Olson is easily the best QB in town. he lit it up in Spring.

looking forward to a Sanchez-Forcier future. forget this carp guy.,,

my insiders also said that CED (deon sanders jr) didn't enjoy his day today until he was with his team in westwood. KING DORRELL strikes GOLD - AGAIN!

Forcier, Price, CED, and Carter (better than Tayler) = making trojans jealous

sorry trojans

Your opinion is not a source! Olsen actually was average at best during the spring and has showed signs he may not be the sharpest knife. The JDB thing is 100% false and SC is not the only team in America that think Corp is the real deal. Deion Sanders was a 5 star enough said........

GO TROJANS! yea baby

Mike said:

Thanks, jaXXXon, you made my day. There are two things I love to hear: Domers whining and Ruins deluding themselves. Fight on!

Jaxxon-please share some of what you have been smoking. Why the heck would JDB go to Canada to play pro ball? He is a junior and go to the NFL or wait one more year as a senior and go to the NFL.
If you wish to look at a one and done at SC, then look at Chauncey Washington. He will be the latest guy running thru your overmatched bruins secondary.
As far as Ced-we do not need when we have Donovon Warren and Omar Bolden, the 2 best cover corners on the west coast.
The guy you are referring to us to forget is Aaron Corp not Carp. Aaron Corp was just invited to the Elite 11 for the nations 12 best quarterbacks to work out with. It is 12, do not let the name fool you.
Forcier, at this time, has not been invited and probably will not be invited. So despite your trained eye telling us to forget about this "Carp" guy, the experts say different. We sure are lucky to have you though.

I think Mark Sanchez is a great guy, and its time for LA to a new hero. So you folks in Westwood just might have to get use to the fact that USC has four great QB's this year, and two more on the way. That state ran school hasn't beat USC in football since PC became coach, and they are not going to start now. I just wish they show a little more gratitude for the tax dollars that USC generates directly by being one of the largest employers in LA, and we all (including USC alumni) have to pay to support all state ran schools.

Fight On!

Are you talking about one of the bottom 50 coaches in the country dorrell?

Matt said:

Apparently, it only takes a Sun Bowl to get coronated in Westwood.

steve said:

right on..!!!!!!!! bend over ucla ......!!! it's your turn again and again and again...!!

jaXon said:

LOL!

are you calling Mike McDonald a "great QB"?

it's bad enough you are saying that JDB, Sanchez and Green are "great". what do you base this on? how are they "great"?

we all have to wait and see with BOOTY. see what he does at Arkansas and vs. nebraska before you call him "great".

Olson is proven.

you're killin me, trojans.

jaXon said:

alright john, the canada thing was a shot but he's gone at year's end. and washington is a savior for your depleted backfield but carp? c'mon dude. he's the #12 guy at the big 11 camp only cause bob johnson got a big payoff from univ so central.

and you shouldn't smoke, guys.

chris bottom 50? i take KING over Stoops and Stoops anyday.

matt bruins ain't goin sun bowl. it's roses or holiday betch.

steve bend over? why is this always on your mind? prevert!

Jaxxon-the more you speak the less merit you have. Washington has been in system 3 years and was actually starting ahead of Bush/White when they were all freshmen. Chauncey is 225 pounds and quick. Runs great between tackles, where all runners run against UCLA's soft defense.
Please explain to me how Olsen is proven. You know this is not Drew Olsen-he is gone. Ben Olsen who has never taken a snap and he is more proven than Booty who has played in 6 games? This logic I just have to hear.
Leave the conspiracy theories to the who shot JFK folks. If you think Elite 11 crew got a payoff from SC just shows you are grasping at straws. Bob Johnson is not sole evaluator and judge there are people like Greg Biggins and rivals staff members as well.
Yeah you would take Karl Dorrell over Stoops brothers. Bob has a national championship and Mike just kicked your ass all over the state of Arizona by 40+ points.
Cmon man, do not bother scott anymore if all you are going to do is come over here and flame.

Bitter ruin anyone?

Well once again I'm sad to see tax money being wasted on UCLA folks who can't read or perform even basic research (and UCLA is supposed to be a research institute).

JDB is on SI's (#7) early but short Heisman list. Anybody reading anything about USC football knows that Mark Sanchez is giving JDB a run for the job. I was there to watch the Spring Huddle, and Mike McDonald looked just as good as Mark S. Finally Garrett Green was rated by Rivals as the #7 QB as a HS recruit for 2006.

Like I said, USC has 4 great QB's this year. Some might be better than others, but all are great. Fall practice should be interesting to read about.

Chris said:

Jax, CFN just rated the top 50 coaches and I didn't see "radio" anywhere on there.

ron said:

Interesting considering a couple of my friends who are Ruin fans and actually went to a couple of their spring practices (must've been really sow days for them) we concerned because of what they saw in Olsen. They went on different days and both basically said that they didn't think Olsen has the goods. Said he looked like he was having a hard time with the offense. Now I could care less as I don't worry about the Ruins, but these guys are Ruin alum.

i'm a usc graduate so my allegiance is obvious but mike mcdonald can't possibly be considered even an "okay" qb. my fraternity played his in ironman and he sucked then and got picked off a couple of times and we won the game. let's just stick with booty and sanchez and pray that we don't have to drop that far down on the depth chart
