Sanchez Cleared
The district attorney is releasing a statement this afternoon that no charges will be filed in the sexual assault case of quarterback Mark Sanchez.
This is consistent with everything we've heard for several weeks that the case against Sanchez was considered weak by the DA's office.

He still has to answer to Pete and somekind of punishment

I think that this thing has went perfectly for Mark Sanchez consider the circumstances. I hope that the media and all of his supporters are ready to vindicate the poor guy!!!
He was fortunate that the acuser's times were out of whack by several hours (giving the impression that the girl was creating an alternative and made up incident). It won't hurt Mark's image that he happened to be doing a good deed in public by helping the strangers with their stalled car (again making the timing of the incident WAAAY impossible as reported by the girl.)
The fact that there were witnesses all around, including IN the room (where Brian Cushing would have heard anything craziness that was going on within five feet of him). A couple of more witnesses, male and female that knew both of them were also within feet of the pair. Can't imagine better circustances for the falsely accused to be exonerated.
The clincher here is that it was not the girl but her mother that called the police without any firsthand knowledge of the event.
It is a lot easier to recover your reputation from being falsely accused as for "sexual assault" (no sexual interourse including a Clinton which IS defined as sex) rather than "rape".
If I was Mark I would get together with the Duke lacrosse players and get some "Stop Rape AND Stop False Accusations" t-shirts. (Wait, those guys DID hire two crusty strippers for a couple of dozen teenage guys. Gross!)

He's going to have to answer the Univesity regarding the fake id. With the rumors on campus of his drinking exploits, Pete and the University may want to look into whether Mark might have a drinking problem, and make him deal with it if he has one and before it becomes a real problem. Remember, Todd Marinovich was known as Marijuanavich around campus and Smith and the school did nothing about it. At a certain point the responsibility is on Mark, but since Mark and the other players help make Pete and the school millions of dollars, I think Pete should make at least an inquiry as the whether Mark might have a drinking problem.

and I suppose that the perpetrator of the false accusations goes off into the sunset scott free? No harm no foul? Like dropping a turd into the punchbowl and then switching to beer?
I wonder how PC will deal with the underage drinking and ID fraud?

"He was fortunate that the acuser's times were out of whack by several hours."
Actually, Mark's lucky break was that the bio sample from the victim came from some other male. This made all speculation moot.
I am sure that Mark will be content to let sleeping dogs lie.
The real problem is a system that incarcerates people before any proof is established. This could have been cleared up without an arrest.

There was not any other bio samples from another male on or in the victim. Bloggers like you need to find something better to do. You are wasting readers time.

You are wrong. You are misleading everyone. And you obviously know nothing.
There was a bio sample and it did not belong to Mark. And it was in the victim. That is why the charges were not filed.
After all the brouhaha, if the bio sample was from Mark, he would most certainly be facing charges.
