Booty 100 percent

USC coach Pete Carroll said quarterback John David Booty is fully recovered from back surgery and barring further injury or a complete collapse in performance during training camp, will start the Trojans' season-opener against Arkansas.

fight on J.D.....see ya in ariz in '07

God Almighty Bless John David Booty. We love this guy's attitude. As others here have said; he'll have up to SIX NFL-caliber receivers to throw to. All he has to do is throw it to the wide-open receiver and work within the system he knows so well. This is not about being naive or over-confident, this is fact. If no one, not Texas, not ND, nor the Hogs could stop Jarret last yr., what do you think they'll do now with five more speedsters? JDB will keep this Football Dynasty going. There's a reason 3 out of the 4 last Heismans went to USC baby, and Arkansas will find out soon. Their baby-back ribs are about to get cooked.

I saw JD at a bar last night, and he's a cool cat. I think he has the quiet confidence to win another Heisman, without the Leinartesque celebrity distractions.

I want my baby back, baby back.

A beat down is coming to the 72701 zip code and it won't be pretty. Don't be surprised if it's as bad as 2005's.

Chiliiiii's baby back ribs.. Chili's baby back ribs.

JDB for president.

get in my belly, hill-billy!

People are very sensitive to stereotypes, but y'all need to loosen-up and realize we're just kidding around. I'm talking the Bobby Duechet-Waterboy football version, otherwise a hillbilly is a cool term and I'll drink with one anytime. But as an equal-opportunity offender, I am compelled to admit the South has produced things I like: great rock, R&B, Johny Cash, Elvis, the food, Atlanta the new hip-hop mecca, God Bless N'Orleans, and the SEC does put out exciting teams. And the girls are gorgeous, so they leave you & come here to L.A. to model. Now you know why Carroll recruits so well. Let the competition begin!

Anyone care to offer an opinion whether SC can go undefeated this year? I think it is still a definite possibility - remember how we all worried when Carson Palmer left, and Leinart stepped up at Auburn? Booty has more experience than Leinart did at that time. For the record, I think undefeated may very well happen again, including beating ND - a home game for us.

I still say that Corky's Ribs from Memphis, Tenn is the best. You can FedEx them overnight for the game. Checkout their web site. also, you get a discount by saying Elvis is alive!

Nothing would be sweeter that eating ribs, and watching USC defeat Arkansas.

Fight On!

Fight On Rick! He's not kiddin' folks, fedex will ship anything. Hey did u guys hear that Arkansas starting tailback McFadden (SEC 1st team freshman last yr) will not play against 'SC, because he dislocated his big toe in a fight at a nightclub in Little Rock last week? (LOL) I'm not makin this up. And then someone stole his brother's car during the fight. How can u go thru a fistfight & end up with a hurt toe? What the hell is that? At least he saved his ribs... I think Booty will have a break-out game to start the season. Pass me that beer, gimme those baby-backs! Go Troy!

Foxsports.com has the story. Their Coach Nutt (insert joke here) thought it was a prank at first. McFadden was first team all SEC last yr. One back they might play is Mike Smith, whose 5ft. 7. I'm sure he's fast, but it sounds like fresh hog meat for SC's linebackers.
