Problem Solved
USC's point guard crisis might be solved if St. John Bosco guard Daniel Hackett decides to graduate high school a year early.http://www.dailynews.com/sports/ci_4026392
Hackett needs two classes to graduate and is already taking one. He said he will make a final decision in the next few days. He almost made an announcement at the ABCD camp that he would graduate early but stayed in Southern California to see if graduating early would be possible.

Things really seem to be heating up for the basketball program. Great info Scott. I check this blog everyday now, keep up the good work.
Hey Scott, Mark Sanchez and Antwine Perez both graduated early to come to USC. (Those precocious Latinos.) There may be a few other athletes in other sports. You might want to correct that in your article. Small mistake. That said, wouldn't it be great for such a highly touted recruit to play for at least three and maybe four years? That would make two quality kids around for a spell. Hope it happens.
Is UNLV the official dump for troubled but talented athletes? Didn't Suge Knight play football there before his short NFL career. Geez, there must be some stories there. But it's Vegas baby, and what happens in Vegas...
Hey Darren,
Antwine and others have graduated a semester early from high school and enrolled at USC. This happens a lot with football players at schools across the country. What could be unique about Hackett (and was also with JD BOOTY) is the fact that they are graduating a FULL YEAR early to enroll in college in the fall (when they would have been starting their senior years of high school). This on the other hand is pretty rare. Just wanted to clear up the miscommunication.
