A Band Stays Put

Texas A&M is resisting the Big 12 Conference’s call to move team bands from behind a visitor’s bench. Associate Athletic Director Alan Cannon said the band would not move for the upcoming season.

This is exactly one of the reasons why I am glad USC is moving the band from behind the SC bench to the endzone. Why have the loudest noise makers right behind the SC bench? During timeouts, SC coaches have to battle giving instructions to the players against the noise of the band. This is a move that was long overdue.
