Another Washington Update
Although USC practiced in shorts, tailback Chauncey Washington said he feels 100 percent and thinks he can play against Arkansas. He said there is still some lingering tightness in his hamstring.
"I feel like I'm going to play but it's up to the coaches," Washington said.
The big test is tomorrow when USC practices in full pads.
"I feel I can go out there and practice after today," Washington said.

is this an example of coaches pushing a hammy too soon? or will C-Dub shock Arkie-Land and come out strong? He's a veteran, he'll make his mark this game or another.
Scott,
I appreciate much of the stuff you bring us, but, at the same time, feel you are far more entertaining, because, as a typical pissant, you are always just hoping you can gain a chance to become Big Time through your chicken bleep psuedo-inside revelations about the program. You're very funny and a pleasure to read--your hope for promoting yourself pales only in comparison to a whiny wannabe idiot like Petros, who, basically, KNOWS he should have been getting the accolades that SC's recent players have.
Please keep digging through the trash cans.
You're very funny!
I predict Washington will have two good practices an play against Arkansas during certain situations. COme on Washington. I will be leaving for cracknasas
thursday wearing my carson palmer jersey. I hate Arkansas. Its really hot and the people are stupid. I got nothing else, I must finish this beer before midnight. Wish me luck. fight on
This is kind of one of those darned if you do darned if you don't situations. On one hand you really, really would like to have a veteran presence in the backfield on the road in a hostile environ. On the other hand pushing Chauncey back to quickly can either one lead to him getting injured again and then lose him for even more of the season or two have an ineffective veteran who is a step slow or not 100 percent.
I think the coaching staff is trying to strattle the fence on this one as they should. Take him along slowly but not rule him out altogether just yet. We'll see if it works.
How is Chauncey a veteran? He played in like..what..one or two games? I don't even know. Is he experienced at picking up blitzes? Is he a good zone runner or more of a freelancer like Reggie? There are soo many questions about Chauncey's experience let alone his health that I consider him a virtual rookie. I just hope the offensive line gives enough protection for the QB and creates big enough holes that even Petros can run through. Otherwise I can't rely on Chauncey being there in the backfield.
