Late Practice

| | Comments (1) |

Freshman wide receiver Travon Patterson returned with some big catches in the afternoon practice. "There's no question he can help us, if he keeps progressing he can be a factor in the first game," USC coach Pete Carroll said.
Chauncey Washington remains bothered by a sore hamstring while freshman tailback Emmanuel Moody missed the afternoon session after feeling light-headed. Tailback Michael Coleman is practicing once a day to avoid overworking his hip.

Its a shame to see Chauncey already have a set back. Yet another fine example of Strength & Conditioning Coach Chris Carlisle's magic. You would think after Spring practice and Summer workouts, all players would be STRONG and CONDITIONED enough to to handle non-contact drills. After all, those words are in the man's title.

But instead we get to play the same old game of, "its nothing, not serious", blah, blah, blah. The damage is already done and the kid is going to need time to heal. Im wondering if Carlisle knew Washington hadnt played in two years and therefore probably isnt close to being in football shape. Carroll needs to ship this hayseed back to the SEC and find someone who will actually keep the players on the field.
