Morning Report

The quarterbacks responded with a better performance this morning, meanwhile some small injuries are mounting. Sedrick Ellis sprained his thumb, Travis Draper needs an MRI for his sore back and Chauncey Washington has a minor hamstring strain.
If you went by the talk last year, tailback Emmanuel Moody was not described as the fastest incoming back but his initial burst has running backs coach Todd McNair drawing comparisons to Reggie Bush.
"He's got a little of (Bush) in him," McNair said.

This is not good.

Well, if you think about it, Coleman or Reed or hopefully Washington will play the role of Herschel Dennis from 2003.

Moody, SJ, and Gable can be like Bush and White from 2003.

We all know SS is like KC from 2003, but who is the BMW of 2003? DJ appears to be BMW of 2004, which is an inelgible WR.

BTW, when the hell does VH1 get cleared?? Hazelton is a beast!!

I don't get it. McNair says he "has a little Reggie in him", which doesn't necessarily have anything to do with "initial burst" or speed in general. The first thing that comes to mind with Reggie is his shiftiness and ability to start and stop and start again- and then the incredible speed. The fact that Reggie was one of the fastest sprinters in the nation (10.4 in his junior year of high school) meant that once he faked you, or cut back he would just outrun everyone on the field. No one doubts that Moody is shifty or hits holes quickly, it just doesn't seem from his film and practices or anything I hear, that he can outrun people with speed. I hope I'm wrong. Makes you appreciate Reggie. Feels like I was sleeping on him.
