`One Of The Most Stressful Days Of My Life'

Freshman tailback Emmanuel Moody said he got off to an extremely rough start in training camp because of fumbling. Moody said he realized he was in the doghouse one day because of fumbles.
``That was one of the most stressful days of my life,'' Moody said. ``I just realized I had to follow the No. 1 rule, `protect the football.' I had to focus. It happened in one day.
``I changed the way I focused. I decided to focus on one thing at a time and fumbling is on my mind constantly.''
Moody not stopped fumbling in camp, he gained 128 yards and scored two TDs in nine carries on August 17.
``I felt like that was the climax for me,'' Moody said. ``I had to have a big night. I knew that going in.''

Seems like it is a race. These three guys have two years, starting with this one, to impress the coaches, stay healthy and win two of three jobs. I still think Chauncey has a big final year this year, and another two rb's will be in the mix. The odds are not bad but someone has to lose.

When Green and Tyler come in the three sophomores will be scrapping to keep the upper hand after one year though I can't imagine either Green or Tyler starting until they are sophomores or juniors. Green and Tyler will have a chance to actually learn at a normal pace instead of being evaluated at the point of a gun during a single summer. It's funny because it will always be room for a couple of winners and one inevitable loser for at least a five year span. I just hope that the losers lose on the field, not b/c of injuries like Coleman, Dennis or Reed or adjustment to college life like CW. Suddenly it doesn't seem crowded back there at all.

The only problem is that the loser here is going to be someone with enough talent to start anywhere else in the nation and the criteria won't be talent but how fast the kid learns.

After seeing Stafon I just can't imagine it would be him, he's the fastest and most athletic and he's a great personality kid to boot. But he is also the kid who could most easily play another position and still make it to the next level.

What are you guys thinking?
