Power Of The Program
Did you know USC quarterback John David Booty is considered a better choice to win the Heisman Trophy than Cal tailback Marshawn Lynch? That's what oddsmakers believe, anyways. Booty, with only 56 career pass attempts, is considered a 20-1 shot while Lynch is listed at 22-1.

If Booty plays at his potential, then we'll trade a heisman for a national championship any day. JDB should have a solid year. Look out Arkansas secondary -- the west-coast offense is flying in...
Oddsmakers don't exactly believe Booty is a better shot to win the Heisman -- but with three of the last four Heisman winners from SC, and SC being a more "public" team than Cal ever will, they'd be dumb to open Marshawn Lynch ahead of him.
heisman winners don't come from teams that are not the best... further, it's that outstanding player that has made a season long contribution to putting his team at the top, that get the trophy....
cal's team won't the best eventhough marshawn will contribute big time to getting his team to where it finally ends up. jdb will not only contribute big time, but he will also have a team that is the best after all's said and done. sept 2 where are you???
Why isn't Jarrett on that list? He's picked by many to be the PAC-10 offensive player of the year.
He's ineligible and can't be considered!
