Practice Report
Pete Carroll said Chauncey Washington probably needs a full week of practice to be available for the Arkansas game. Washington hopes to return Saturday.
Stafon Johnson spent his second day on the scout team as C.J. Gable increasingly heads toward his first career start at tailback.
Brian Cushing also looks like a starter, whether it's labeled defensive end or linebacker when the depth chart is revealed.

I can't wait until 9/2!
Here's to hoping that we just get C dub healthy; and if we are lucky we get to use him in the Arky game. However I would think that a completely healed CW for Nebraska would definitely be a huge bonus.
same here, FIGHT ON!!!
well ima big c.j gable fan hes from our home town sylmar (ca.) hope he does good sc fight on...P!!!
just so you all know cj Gable is a good kid ,Ive seen him play his 4 years at sylmar an he is very competitive
I have analyzed USC Tailbacks since the A.D. days (Anthony Davis). I can quote every starter since those days till now and had a pretty good idea who would be average, good and great when they arrived on campus. I predicted every Heisman Tailback USC had, with the exception of A.D., which was a travesty. Anyhow, I am a bit curious about Chauncey Washington, because he has not had enough touches for me to properly analyze him. I feel bad that he has not had the opportunities as his fellow TB classmates (Reggie & Lendale), whether it was his fault or not. Since I have been a typical fan on the outside lookin in, versus having access to see these runners daily in practice. I have never really had a chance to see Chauncey run the ball, in order to assess his real abilities. Coming out of high school he was hyped equally to Reggie & above Lendale. Hopefully, he will be healthy enough this season to prove whether that hype was warranted or not. I am just afraid that his injuries and missed practices will not allow him to get any playing time, especially since these incoming freshmen are excelling and impressing coaches. If he does not get any playing time again, we might never see the real Chauncey, until he gets 100% healthy and perhaps gets into a good situation in the NFL. Very similar to what happened to Terrel Davis at Denver, after short lackluster stops at Univ. of Georgia and Long Beach State.
