Recovery Snag

Chauncey Washington only ran one play and did not feel much progress in his hamstring. His status for the Arkansas game appears in jeopardy.
"I'll probably take it easy until Saturday,'' Washington said. "I can get into second gear but when I go faster I can feel a stretch.
"If I had to I would rather sit out Arkansas and come back healthy for Nebraska."

Washington has 11 days to heal... but even if he is healthy how good will he really be...I wonder is Desmond Reed 100%?

as much as i respect c dub... lets move on and start part 1 of the cj gable/stafon johnson show.

I'd almost prefer starting with the clean slate of Gable/Moody/Johson rather than delaying their progress in favor of H. Dennis, er, C Washington.

We play the best player, if C-Dub is the best he will play (he has two years of eligibility!).

Unless your name is Kaluaka, then you sit.

Scott, can you please explain why Kaluaka is not starting, I think he is better than Sartz and Rivers. The whole team knows it to. What bubble are the coaches living in?

I have to say I agree with the previous postings..I think we need to start the new CJ/Staphon/Emmanuel/ era ..........CW is going to now slow down their progress with the on again / off again scenarios..I realize he fought back to get into the team but competition is the name of the game at SC nowadays and one can ill afford any slip up with 4star players waiting to chomp at the bit.....

I think at this point we cant count on Chauncey for the Arkansas game. Pete needs to set the game plan to go with the freshman.
