Tip To Gable

Pete Carroll gave a nod to freshman tailback C.J. Gable, who keeps impressing in training camp and might start if the Trojans played today.
"C.J.'s doing great, he's been our most consistent guy," Carroll said.
Chauncey Washington (hamstring) will not start running again until Monday. Offensive lineman Chilo Rachal was hit in the head but it's too soon to tell if he suffered a concussion. Rey Maualuga and Terrell Thomas were rested Friday.
Tailback Desmond Reed got his knee tested Friday to see how much nerve damage remains. He's been unable to flex his foot completely because the nerve did not grow back completely after he tore knee ligaments.

thats good he got the nod. I'm still wondering how the recruits from last year as well as the veteran runners feel about the freshmen dominanting the head lines. Someone tell Coleman there is work at the post office.

CJ, CJ, CJ.......I'm rooting for CJ, because he's stepping it up!
As much as I want CW to get it cracking, he's been shadowed with plague like Herchel Dennis. Somehow I think that CW will be impaired, not 100%,for the rest of the season.

MARLON, YOUR ABOVE COMMENT ON DESMOND FINDING WORK AT THE POST OFFICE IS TOTALLY UN THOUGHTFUL..DESMOND HAS GIVEN GREAT TIME AND EFFORT TO USC AND IS TRYING TO RE-HAB..YOU MAKE SMART-ASS REMARKS WHEN THE KID IS TRYING TO PLAY ONCE AGAIN....THINK BEFORE POSTING????

ROC -
As an FYI, you might check your thinking before posting as Marlon referred to Coleman, not Desmond, at the post office.

NO NAME, YOUR CORRECT IN THAT I MADE A MISTAKE IN STATING DESMOND RATHER THAN COLEMAN...BUT PUTTING DOWN ANY INJURED PLAYER IS A THOUGHTLESS ACT AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG ABOUT WORKING AT THE POST OFFICE....

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
