It's obvious that JDB can make throws ML could only dream of. For example that TD's pass to Patrick Turner is a pass Ml couldn't make..
Thats all good and fine, but will JDB be able to check off and make the 4th and 9 throw? Even though they scored 50, I was concerned over the lack of a sustained drive until very late. A lot of that was the play calling, I think, and we should see more against Neb.
It's great JDB has a better arm.....Lets hope he's as good a decision maker and leader!
Bob
The next Booty-Call: Nebraska.
First Palmer, then Leinert, now JDB -- how can you not love the Dynasty at SC. I'll never forget watching the scout film on him in high school. Back then, as the #1 QB in the country, he easily threw 40 yards with precision. He's smart, patient, and he knows the SC offense so well he could deploy audibles that we will need against teams like the Corn-holers. They have an NFL-bound DE, but not their DB's -- that's their weakness that Carroll will exploit.
The day will come soon when JDB throws for over 350-400 yds in a game, and we won't be surprised. We have yet to see this studs' full potential.
Next yr we'll probably see JDB go to the Texans in the first round. Then he'll sign a huge contract, get a cheerleader pregnant, and maybe do some shoe commercials on the side.
JDB... Reign It!
And Booty's even stronger and taller, so once JDB goes pro, we recruit more talent, and get a better Sanchez to take over. The future looks bright.

In this week's SI, Sarkisian says of Booty: "He's like Greg Maddux in the way he can put the ball in the spot it needs to be."
It is just one game, but it's hard not to start counting our Heismans before they're awarded.
I'm a big fan of JDB. I think he'll be outstanding.
But Matt Leinart was such a smart QB. He made every Defensive Coordinator he faced look stupid. Every time he called an audible, it usually lead to a mismatch resulting in a big gain. That's why he's going to be a Hall of Famer.
I agree with Bob Young, if JDB can make the check offs and audibles that Matt Leinart made then he will be even better. Until then, we will see.
IN PETE WE TRUST!!!
JDB will mature quickly, and gain the confidence Leinart displayed his last year. Remember, it took awhile for that to develop. JDB is, apparently, way ahead of Leinart at this stage. Just hope he keeps his wits about him, and doesn't get overconfident or cocky, or try to force things. The game plan last Saturday worked just right - a slow deliberate start, then open it up. Even Norm Chow used to start his QB's off slowly and allow them to develop a rhythm.
Looking forward to Nebraska, and beyond. Maybe as far as January 8!!
Fight On!!
KING PETE IS THE FINEST COACH IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL... LOOK AT TEXAS-- THEY LOST VY AND HAD TO START A TRUE FR. QB? MACK HAD NO PLAN WHILE PETE LOSES MATT AND HAS BOOTY, SANCHEZ AND OTHERS TO KEEP THE TROJANS ABOVE THE REST..PETE IS A GREAT ORGANIZER..........
