Fumble!
Freshman tailback Emmanuel Moody fumbled in Tuesday's practice, a problem he overcame in training camp. Moody was forced to run a lap as punishment.
``It was just a lack of focus today,'' Moody said. ``It was definitely humbling. Turnovers lose games for you and I feel I was letting the team down.''

This guy better get it together.
this kid is coming along extremely well for a true freshman. in watching the nebraska game again u can see he's bursting thru the holes much better. and you gotta love his work ethic. carroll & staff have favored him since camp started. and with chauncey getting healthy, we'll be four-deep in a rotation that other programs would drool for.
just ask nebraska...
IMO until he fumbles in a game it's not really a story worth it's own headline. It seems like we have forgotten that Reggie also had a serious case of fumblitis early in his career as well. (the difference being that Reggie actually fumbled in game a couple times unlike Moody)
Going up against the best turnover unit in the country will straighten out any fumbling problems Moody might have. If you don't fumble against USC's D you won't ever fumble.
The Anti-Wolf report:
The USC defense responded positively to the pleadings of the coaching staff on this "turnover Wednesday" by incessantly attempting to strip the ball from ball carriers, resulting in a fumble by freshman E. Moody.
Moody, who has improved his ball protection immensely since the start of fall camp, was provided with another learning opportunity.
Lest we forget, Reggie Bush's "fumbleitis" last reared its ugly head in the ROSE BOWL. And no one even stripped the ball.....
Hang in there Emmanuel!
out of all the backs ive seen, this kid is starting to show some pop @great speed
First, although you put it in quotes, Bush didn't fumble. He attempted an illegal forward pass that was incorrectly called a lateral and Texas received the ball when USC should have had it inside the 20, first down, which would have resulted in another score of some kind, rendering the last quarter heroics of Vince Young, useless.
And this is not my "spin" on it, either. This was officially acknowledged in the press by the officials who reviewed the game-of course, after the game had already been played.
dib:
Call it what you want - Bush's "pass" was far worse than any simple fumble - the worst part of it is that Bush actually intended to do it. I was being kind to him. Hardly a 'Heisman' maneuver. Cost us a touchdown.
