USC quarterback John David Booty on tonight's performanace: ``I just felt good. I’m playing more and more. My offensive line blocked its butts off. It seemed like I’ve been through a couple of these close games now though.''

JDB played with poise and confidence tonight. But the running game needs work. Is the offensive line missing blocks or are the backs that slow to the hole? Looked like both. I saw alot of running plays go nowhere. If the running game ever becomes a threat, JDB will become the next Trojan super star. If not, SC ends the season ranked 15th.

Hopefully when DJ comes back, JDB won't forget SS. I'd also love to see Fred get some more touches. Man Turner just doesn't impress me, he must do some awesome things in practice that I never see to get all the accolades he gets

John David is doing a great job, thus far. I like the fact he has not put USC in a position to lose. Aside from a few bad throws, for the most part he has been very accurate and consistent. I really like his poise. He is getting the ball into the hands of the playmakers. Unfortunately, our playmakers are not taking it to the house like past years. Hopefully our playmakers step it up a notch in the coming weeks. I guess Reggie & Lendale really spoiled us, because we are so use to the home run ball versus the long drives.

JDB double pumps on passes too much, thus allowing d-line to get hands up.

Eddie - I have no idea what you are talking about. The purpose of the double pump is exactly that - to force the defense to make an early move. Whether that be jump to trick the secondary into jumping the receiver's routes or forcing the Dline to get their hands up one second too early. The double pump cannot be to blame for the batted balls. If anythign the double pump would cause the dline to put their hands up a second earlier and the hands would be down by the time the actualy throw comes. No d-lineman puts his hand up on the pump and continues to hold them up for the actual throw seconds later.
