Sure Pete, so you can run up the score when you're blowing out a lesser team. Does it bother you when opposing coaches don't shake your hand after a game because you show no class?
I agree with PC, we only play 13 games if we are lucky and to cut those games 10% shorter is a crime. Shorter CFB games are not better. I wish Officials would take their time setting the ball in play. Its funny as you see some refs give more time before setting the ball in play than others. What a crappy rule. I really hope everyone pushes the NCAA to scrap this rule after this season
The Godfather is right, there's not enough games as it is, so let's reverse the rules so we can play more freshman & beat the bruins even longer.
Anyone have insight into this rule change? I didn't realize the NCAA folks were sitting around the ivory tower saying, "Geez, our games are just too long!" Seems like extra plays would mean extra commercials for the TV boys, too, so I can't imagine how they would be in favor this. The games, I have attended the last two, seem almost like high school games in terms of length.

No Pat it doesn't bother me. My hand is pretty tired after smacking around the little bruins,bears,razorbacks and other farm animals...I can save my hand for you too if you get in line...TOTAL DOMINATION!!!
I think this is why people complain about Kiffin so much. Less plays means less chance to "be conservative" in a ballgame.
You have to strike first, often, and effectively with these new stupid rules. The new rules make it impossible to come from behind....especially being down in the 4th quarter. That ND miracle on Saturday was just that...a miracle...LOL! Hell, their D won it for them at the end anyways. Hmm...too bad this rule didn't exist in the Rose Bowl!
The new rule could also be affecting that weak link of our coaching...the OC? I can hear it now gentlemen "FIRE KIFFIN!"
