No Big Deal

Unlike most athletes, freshman tailback C.J. Gable does not see much need to celebrate when he scores a touchdown. Gable reacted matter-of-factly to his first career USC touchdown last week against Arkansas.
``It’s just another one since high school. It’s not that exciting,’’ Gable said. ``There’s more to come. Why get excited?’’

gable is bugging, scoring in college is one of the greatest feelings in the entire world

d3receiver,

C.J. wasn't referring to that type of "scoring", lol.

d3receiver...

You are bugging...I would rather have a confident back who knows he is going to score 20 times this year and not freak out because of one, than a guy who is NEVER going to score and freak out when he walks across the goalline!

Gable acted with the kind of class that has been a part of our program for a while under Carroll. He may not have been there before, but he acted like he had ... and he will many more times.

Gable is old school. The highest compliment
I could pay him. He behaves in a manner that tells us: He has been there before and expects to return!

That is my kind of ballplayer!

Did you see what he did after he scored? First he dropped the football and started to turn away, then stopped picked it up and handed it to the ref. Didn't flip it, or throw but turned and put it in the refs hands like you'd pick something up to help someone. Hope that attitude sticks.

Gable is in the mode of former gret runners who score and go bout their business. The job at hand is the score and get ready to score again.

The manner in which Gable acted after scoring his first career TD brought a smile to my face. I just love it when a kid performs with class and maturity like CJ Gable did. I'll really be rooting hard for this kid now!

LMFAO

Other than the sexual assualts, drug trafficking, prostitute soliciting, and overall thuggery displayed by the USC football program, it's been nothing but class.

C. J. Gable seems to understand what USC is all about. He knows it is a touchdown not an audition for "Dancing With The Stars". If you're a USC running back and you find yourself with a ball in the end zone remember, you're supposed to be there. Give the ball to the nice man in the black and white shirt, act like you've been there before and move on.
