Hey Felipe, go look at my post in the stat of the night posts. I think your prob. one of the morons who at first did not think Leinart was good enough to be the QB. Im guessing your some bandwagon fan who jumped on around January 2003, and becasue we scored only 20 points your nervous you might have to jump ship and find a new team. Do us true Trojan fans who suffered through the Hacket years a favor and find a new team to rip.
Hey Clint,
I sat through the losing years in the 80s and 90s when we couldn't beat Notre Dame or UCLA. How old are you if all you could remember were the Hackett years? The last 5 years have been awesome at USC. Football goes in cycles and one day (I hope not very soon) it will end. Like every other SC fan out there, I'd like to see how far our Pac 10, Notre Dame and UCLA domination can go. As for your assumption on Leinart in 2003, I knew he was the real deal for never taking a college snap and going into Auburn and coming away with a victory.
Sit through some real losing seasons like that of the 80s and 90s and then come talk to me OK chumpy!
Felipe
OK chumpy? friggin hilarious. Felipe, mind if I use that one?
Hey Felipe...Good thing the website shows what time you posted. You can't guess the final score after the game. Great call on the 20-3. I should take you to Vegas. Your a joke.
Re PH55
Gee I wonder if I posted it purposely for the comment directly after it? I'm glad you can tell time PH55. You must have went to UCLA!
To Felipe the genius...
Can the 80's be losing seasons when we had legit shots at 3 national titles? A guy win the Heisman (Marcus) and a guy finish 2nd in the Heisman (Rodney)? How about four in a row over UCLA. Seems like I struck a nerve with someone
First off felipe January 2003 would have been the Orange Bowl Carson Palmers senior year. No one knew who Matt Leinart was yet around the country. And second if you thought Leinart was the real deal, why you so critical of Booty when he has better stats his first three games and has also come away with victories. And i think the guy ahead of me shut you up about the 80's and early 90's. The Hacket years were the worst years any SC fan alive has gone through!
To Clint,
The first part of you're last blog makes no sense. The 2002 season and 2003 Orange Bowl "WAS" Carson Palmer's Senior Season. Not would have been, but "WAS". Of course no one knew of Matt Leinart, he had never thrown a college snap. As for Booty, this guy has been in the system since 2003 so of course he will have better numbers in his first college starts but does that necessarily make him better than Leinart. We are comparing two different style QBs and one of them had no big game experience when he first started. As for me being critical, lets just call it a gut instinct ever since Booty showed up in 2003. I personally believe he is not the guy, hey by season's end if the Trojans are undefeated I will be very wrong. Fight On.
As for PH55,
Mediocrity must do wonders for you and I guess you take great satisfaction in losing to ND for 13 years and losing to UCLA for 8 years in trade for a winning season. USC had some great winning seasons in the 80s and 90s but think about it, were we the bigtime college program of the 60s, 70s and of modern day. Plus those winning seasons were largely overshadowed by the losing we did to ND for 13 years and to UCLA for 8. SC ceased being a bigtime program when John Robinson left in 1982 and was restored to order when Pete Carroll and Norm Chow came to town. Thank God!
I liked Rodney Pete when he was at USC, but think about four straight losses to ND and does anyone ever remember the guy who finishes 2nd in the heisman race with the exception of Vince Young and we all know why circa Jan. 4th 2006.
Anyways guys its been fun, I'm going to continue blogging and rooting for the Trojans for life. I'll try to be less critical, I guess like one guy on another blog said "We are spoiled because we got so used to all the winning the last five years and can you blame us." Peace out.
