Some things turn out for the best. The best is Detroit CB/WR Cedric Everson who will visit USC this weekend after impressing Brennan Carroll last Friday. Everson is a unique player with rare athletic gifts.

To Scott Wolfe: Terrel Rey was one of my best friends at USC. I often over the years wondered what he did, what kind of life he had. He was our ringer on Daily Trojans games. Could you get this e-mail to him so we could connect.

I believe JR and JM are long time friends from before Madden coached the Raiders.

JR is one of the nicest gentlemen I have been able to work with as a media statistician. Last year at dinner, he told some great stories about his military service including a great Jim Brown story.

I am glad he is getting the respect he deserves.
