If Carroll missed calling for two because he switched his brain to defense to help Nick Holt after we scored that's fine with me. The real question is why Boy Wonder Kiffin or Sarkisian didn't suggest a play for two?

That's it, blame everything on Kiffin. Teflon Pete can do no wrong even when he admits that he goofed. It's the head coach's decision to go for one or two not the OC's. I guess it's Kiffin's fault that UCLA's defense is ranked 3rd in the nation overall and ours isn't. UCLA hasn't given up over 400 yards in a game, but our defense has.

You people are incredible. Stuff all this Kiffin bashing and get on Pete and Nick to get on the ball. UCLA should NEVER be ranked ahead of USC in total defense - period!

Lane was caught dreaming of coaching in the NFL (Not For Lane). I wonder if he wonders how much people think he is an unproven mutt? Pete controls the game calling philosophy. I love and trust Pete, but people are giving Kiffin too much credit and blame. You actually think Pete is fully entrusting some 30 year old snot to run the offense? Or do you think that he has to go over play calling philosophy and scenario planning with Pete? Don't you think Pete made the non 2 point call? Don't you think that Pete sets the table before each half? Pete has the ultimate veto and power. He is the Emperor. If we are doing "cute" things out there, blame Pete. For me, I think we are making due without a playmaker. And Pete is the best coach in the US. People who said that not signing Desaun Jackson was a major recruiting loss were right. We don't have the playmaker to spread the defense. We are getting cute. Let's hope DJ can make an impact and Moody can find a way to break a few soon so we don't become an intuitive offense that will rely on cute plays to make things happen. Scott, your columns are ridiculous, but you this is a nice place to congregate for us fans and even USC haters (like yourself). I know you are a fellow Alum, but you are a sellout. But that said, people have ot get paid and fame comes in many different ways. I'm sure you sleep well at night knowing that your ploy works. THANK GOD for you and your family that USC is on top. i think Pete is doing what he must do as the coach. He's taking responsibility for a poor performance on the team. It really is hard when you only have 20% of players with starting experience. Players will play a lot better at home. How many teams have gone 3-0 on the road this year??

I think stephanie sounds hot. I wonder if Scott does too?

Dave Smith was not the only one. Arbo said it on his broadcast and mentioned it again on his blog. He thought, "Someone was asleep at the wheel" when SC didn't go for two.

And Pete said its his fault which it is. No coordinator ever makes a decision to go for 1 or 2 after a TD.

All that being said, PC is the best head coach in America.
