BCS Ban
In typical form, USC coach Pete Carroll said he will not discuss the BCS situation with the Trojans any more than a few comments following the loss to Oregon State.
``I won’t spend any more time on it,’’ Carroll said. ``I haven’t even thought about it.’’
But the Pacific-10 Conference race is an acceptable talking point.
``We have to win every game,’’ Carroll said. ``That’s all. That’s the issue right now.’’

USC may end the season with more quality out-of-conference wins than certain ENTIRE CONFERENCES, including a certain conference located in the South and one located in the Heartland. The Pac-10 had more players per team drafted, on average, than that certain conference in the South, as well as the conference in the Heartland. If it comes down to USC and and a team from one of these other conferences, both with one loss, USC can frame its case as having more quality wins than their ENTIRE CONFERENCE. The key is framing the argument as more quality out-of-conference wins than their conference and more players drafted. If not, one may get into a childish food fight of "we are just better", or focusing on just one gamp played between the conferences.
Margin for Error is now ZERO
I really wish UCLA fans would stop harrassing the fans of the fine institution of USC. If our fans were truly clued in, they'd realize that we have lost 7 in a row to our cross town rivals. WE ARE OWNED. USC is clearly the better football team. At this time I need your support and show of confidence. Although I see now way of beating USC (again) I'd like to remain your coach - as I look good in power blue.

A one loss USC team is a lock for the BCS by virtue of winning the Pac-10 title. Oregon St. already has two conference losses. USC still controls it's own destiny.
Fight on, Pete!
IN PETE WE TRUST!!!
Scott,
I like the way you think. You have great insight and perspective regarding PAC-10 football. Its guys like us that separate the average fan vs. Great Minds. I like West Virginia - I really do.
Scott, can you tell me how school colors are determined? Just curious... I'd like my team to adopt a more agressive color scheme...
Although, personally, I look good in light colors - I'd like my players to look more like men and not like sissies... How about it Scotty old pal... Any ideas?

Good thing they don't care about the BCS cause I doubt they will be part of it this year. :o))
