``It’s just a tragic situation,’’ said USC coach Pete Carroll, who left the campus Thursday and went to the hospital where the former Trojans' All-American is in a coma. ``I’m just shocked by what happened. He was fit and working out a day ago. He’s in a coma and it doesn’t look like he’s coming out of it.
``We’ll sorely miss him.’’
