``Cush is still real young at rushing the passer, he hasn't taken off in that regard,'' Carroll said.

Wolf... it's not just us.
â–ºPssst...wanna know who the two yahoos are that are casting first place votes for West Virginia in the AP poll? You can find out the weekly ballots of all the AP voters at: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/external/onlinenews.ap.org/collegefootball_rankings/voters.php
Or, I can save you the time...Kevin Pearson from the Riverside Press-Enterprise and Scott Wolf from the Los Angeles Daily News are the two football writers who actually think a Mountaineer team with zip-O wins over ranked teams this year should be #1 over an Ohio State team with three quality wins over ranked teams. Wolf also has a Southern Cal football blog where he posts his weekly AP poll votes and gets ragged on by his readers (www.insidesocal.com)

Cush needs to replace the overrated Sartz at LB and have Kyle Moore play DE. Peace.

Hey CaliFB...have you not watched Moore and Schwaiger get waxed every week? Two huge dissappointments....especially Schwaiger.

To gueusc69, no one knows whether those 3 "wins" against Penn St., Texas and MSU are quality wins, or just wins for Ohio St. Maybe time will prove you right, yet today the verdict is out. Texas, ok, yet the other two are still very much in the air.

I think the problem is not so much that Ohio State's victories are impressive (over Texas, PSU, Iowa, etc.)...but that WVU has played nobody.
5-0 with wins over five teams with a combined record of 8-19. None ranked.
1-4 Marshall
1-5 Eastern Washington
3-2 Maryland
2-3 East Carolina (was 17-10 in the 4th quarter)
1-5 Mississippi State
If WVU truly will end up as the best team at the end of the year because it has the easiest schedule, then they should be placed #3 or #4 because this stratgey entails OSU, Michigan, USC and Florida all losing during the season.
What happens at the end of the year for this ballot if WVU has two quality wins (Rutgers and Louisville) and is still #1, ahead of Ohio State (wins over Texas, Michigan, Iowa, Penn State); USC (wins over Oregon, Cal, Nebraska, Arkansas, Notre Dame, UCLA); and Florida (wins over LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida State)???
That's the flaw in the "predict who will be left standing at the end of the year because of easy schedules and then give them #1 beforehand" strategy of ranking teams.

I agree that sartz is not the best SLB we have. But our DT and DE aside from Ellis and Jackson are not that good. They get almost zero pressure on the QB. Do not blow up gaps to stop the running game consistently.
Note to recruiters: We dont need more WR, RB, or LBs we need DTs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the worse way.
