Chance For Gable?

Could USC freshman tailback C.J. Gable of Sylmar High still be in the mix for playing time today against Arizona State?
Gable fell out of the tailback rotation with five carries or less against Arizona and Washington State before getting no carries last week after being bothered with a strained groin.
``Last week, we got messed up, C.J. Gable missed a couple practices and we had to hold back on some stuff,’’ Carroll said. ``Having him back helps.’’

C.J. Gable is slowwer than Darius Walker. He needs to get faster/stronger during offseason.

Chauncey/Moody should carry the ball 50 times between them; that will get everything rolling. More importantly "KEEP IT ROLLING"

Just wanted to let you know that this morning in the paper Brian Cushing and yourself were both wrong on the score at halftime last year at ASU. It was 21-3! The best memory is Sam Keller walking off the field doing the mock Victory sign to the crowd. He than ended the game with 5 picks, got hurt, lost his starting job and has since transferred. Man it all went down hill for him at halftime of that game last year! Ohh and good chioce Dirk going woth Rudy. he looks real poised this year!

what happen to David Ausberry freshman wide reciever why is not playing

Ausberry is probably redshirting since he is the 7th best wide receiver on the team. Is there anyone out there happy with our current regulars who haven't lost yet?

Thanks Clint for doing some accurate research.

I think CJ is a pretty good compliment to the "Tornado & Hurricane" combination of Moody & Washington (there will never be another Thunder & Lightning). CJ has good vision and is much stronger than he looks - good job of keeping his feet driving. I like CJ Gable, but I still cannot help but to wonder what Stafon Johnson might bring to the table. Although the coaching staff & teammates know what he can do, the fans are still mystified about his non-appearance in games. All we know is he was the #1 high school RB coming in, but apparently he has not lived up to the hype for some reason - be it on the field or what. I'm not sure who is more disappointing, Stafon or Allen Bradford. At any rate, Emmanuel Moody & CJ Gable are pleasant surprises and that is good enough for now.

Yep Clint was right but he forgot one thing. When ASU pushed their score to 28 points Sam Keller ran over to Dirk Koetter and picked him off the ground in total celebration. At that moment watching the game I knew we would win. What did SC do but score 3 more touchdowns to seal it.
